So what do you guys think? I was a little bored and thought that this might come in handy.

I did my best to put these under the catagories that I thought they should be in. I know that there could be alot of overlap between catagories too. However if you don't like where one is or if you have another to add, PM me or post it up here and I'll put it with the rest.

My criteria for each catagory: (again this is my opinion and if we need to change names or anything I'm open)

Restomod= 35" or under tires, stock type suspension, general retro vibe

Modified= 35" or over tires, stock/modified suspension, stretched wheelbase and/or sheetmetal <6"

Streched= Modified with wheelbase/sheetmetal stretch >6"

Low COG= Mieser's build

Buggies= Tube frame. This was the one that I had the most trouble with, builds like Dirt-Fab's that are using the stock body on a round tube chasis. Is it a buggy or a flatty?

*Disclaimer* I just went through all 15 pages picking out build threads, they are in no particular order (other than the low COG, Mieser's is way better than mine). Also, sorry if I got the screen names wrong esp. spelling. As I catch them I'll get it right.

NICE JOB! think your catagorizing was pretty good idea. Should be a big help when folks are looking for something in particular off of some build.

I like it. The categories are simple and effective. And though I don't think of mine as a stretched build (since my tub is stock) I did end up with a 93" wheelbase vs. the stock 80...

Thanks! I've gotten a lot of help from this site even though I post very little. I thought that having one stop shopping for the flattie newb like me would help.

Again thanks. I put yours with the modifieds because you kept the stock tub.

Thank you. If you want a build added post up a link, I only pulled builds from the Willys forum, if there is anything in general or hardcore that you'd like to see here then by all means post the link and I'll put it on the list.

At this point it might as well be yours only. I put mine in there because that's my plan and I think there is some really good tech discussion going in my thread (though most of it can be found in yours).

Cool.. Makes my idea hunting so much easier!!

I think Buggy's should be anything that is not a regular chassis style of build up eg: an internal skeleton with MB sheet metal +buggy VS Channel/box frame, body of conventional shape ie floor, sides and risers and full cage + other categories.

My 2c worth!

I'll do my best to keep this as up to date as possible. In the future I'd like to combine this with a Wagon/Truck build list as well as a tech thread and maybe then we can sticky it. In going through the 15 pages that we have so far I noticed a lot of repeat questions so I think that a Willys "bible" of sorts would be great. I think something like the Hardcore forum's bible would be awesome. I've also noticed that we have quite a few Willys veterans here, I thought about maybe a talk of the month (TOTM) topic would be a cool idea and could be incorporated into the "bible".

Someone please sticky this thread.

I think adding a section for common or good topic discussions would be valuable also......

I've added a couple of builds to the list. I'll try to keep this thread bumped every once in awile to keep it on page 1.

Let me know if I've missed any.

Thanks for putting mine on here, and I also second the sticky. I am going to finish my build up by the end of this year.

may be we should throw on a few more topics like

https://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showt...highlight=cage

and make this sticky like the jeep bible https://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=837953

I've got a collection of tech threads going to hopefully add to this soon. Then I'll rename it the Pirate Flatty bible. Since this is the Willys section I'd like to do the same for the wagons and trucks as well. Then rename it the Willys bible.

Yes this should be stickied and no I have no idea who be the mod here--maybe we should hit up the jeep hardcore mods or jeep mods to do it if they can....

I asked geberhard if he could do it or if he knew who could do it, will see what he says....

Camo is the "hidden" mod IIRC since he's the one who started this forum... He has a Willys if memory serves...
