It should be noted to expect anything from Omix to be crap.

Just in case you haven't figured that out yet.

Yeah. Last thing I ever order from them. Sent Omix an email with pics of the misaligned holes.
Got a "form email" back thanking me for my comments.

Used the new spray gun to shoot the windshield frame and grill with primer.
Sure is a hell of a lot easier than a rattle can. I'll give the primer a couple of
days to dry before I sand it before the color coat. I haven't bought automotive
paint in a while and wasn't pleased with the cost. Got a gallon each of primer,
color coat (single stage) and the reducer & hardener. Totaled out to $395
even with there 25% off they do the last Friday of every month.

Well, I shot some color on the grill and windshield frame. Came out fairly well. I'll need to sand a few "sags", then shoot a second coat after it dries for a few days. Also had the new floor sheet metal delivered about noon last Friday.

Thanks. It's not perfect, but it's my first time using a spray gun in about 4 decades. LOL. Can't do too much else until my son-in-law can get up here to do a bunch of welding.

Got the son-in-law to come over and do some welding. Got the steering box plate welded in, the grill mount welded, the overdrive shift linkage modified, and the skid plate extended 5" to clear the SM420 transmission.

I wish it was faster progress though. Tomorrow's a waste because of a chiropractor appt. in the morning and then spending hours at the DMV to renew my license with a "real ID" version. I plan on swapping the pitman arm Tuesday. The next big job is cutting out the old "swiss cheese" rockers and floor and weld in new metal.

Clutch linkage from Advance Adapters. It replaces the shitty cable that was stock and always bound up.

I have had one for years. Way better than the stock cable.

Our granddaugther picked it. IIRC it's a 1955 Chevy color called Harbor Blue.
