With the custom fram you built, do you have any pictures of how you mounted the body to the frame? Sorry if I missed it...

On the axles in your 07, you might be able to disconnect the ABS CAN buss wires. Its going to throw a fault, and the ABS ESP BAS lights will remain on. If you leave it on, with no wheel speed sensors, the ABS module will do some weird stuff. Actuate braking, limit throttle, but hard to tell- never done it. I guess you will find out soon.

Heres some shot of Easter Jeep Safari, Moab.

WildWilly4x4, awesome Willys man! Love it. I just bought a 47 CJ-2A. Y'all are making the gears start turning in my head about what I'm gonna do with it. I've wanted one for a long time. I'd rather have a MB, but I got it cheap from a friend, so it'll do. Have a great weekend!

If I ever get some cash to pull that off, I'll holler at you. For now, I'll Just keep the 2A and work with it. Maybe make it an MB look-a-like. lol. I won't be messing with it too much for a while, other than getting it running good and where its reliable enough to cruise the pastures at the ranch. I really bought it with my Grandpa in mind for now. Those old WWII era flat fenders are dear to his heart. For the rest of his life, it'll be his Willys. Then I'll play with it. And I hope he has it for a long time! I'll be content and mess with my TJ during that time. Got to let Grandpa run wild wih it for a while. I think it is going to make him happy/ I really bought it for him 1st, and me 2nd. Thanks man!

My Willys in Indonesia

Love this thread , some great ideas here

Got me thinking about a tube chassis for my Willys now

My CJ2a/MB is in pieces getting ready a full rebuild , it's on hold at the moment while I get my J-20 done.

I got 6 years of hard off roading out of this Jeep , Cj5 engine , double lockers , 32"x9.5" tires and lots of little mods. I had to rebuild it as the chassis was terminally cracked and was twisted. I've collected a lot of interesting bits for the rebuild as I'm in the aircraft parts and salvage business.

Now getting a 350 Chev which will probably the only Willys in Indonesia with a V8 (they are hard to get here) , most engine swaps are using Toyota 4cyls.

I like the use of the 3.8V6 in CJ-2ubed , great little engine and I was originally planning to use a 3.8V6 which is a perfect fit for the Willys and has ample torque but I cant get them here (import not allowed unless new).

When I get back to work on the Willys I'll start a thread

Note the snorkel exhaust , we spend a lot of time crossing water in Indonesia , I hardly see snorkel exhausts on US 4x4s

Dam, I've been away from Pirate for too long now. Thanks everybody for the complements. Java Jeep, nice Willys, seems they are making a come back. We went to Katempcy Rocks (central Texas) for Memorial Day and had a blast. I did a wheel and tire change. Went with the 37" BFG Crawlers, and I was blown away with the traction Just got a Currie swaybar for the rear in the other day, so more to come. Heres some shots. Adam
