Well theres been a bit of s design drift. :-)
Initially I wanted to build it as a 100, but at the start of the project I wasnt completely sure how well everything was going to go, so didnt want to change things around that much.

After figuring out how to and building the chassis, I learned a few things that would make building another one even easier and quicker to build.

So decided to build another chassis and build it as a 100.
I enjoyed building the first one, and want to build another anyway.

Im building a completely new floor using YRM parts, so not a big deal to make it 12 longer.
Will have wheel well covers bent up by sheet metal shop & getting pair of 109 tub sides to cut down to fit.

The other major drift in the design is the engine now using.
I have a 300Tdi in the U.K. to be sent in the crate that the new bulkhead is coming in a few weeks, so selling it over there.

I picked up a Mercedes OM603 6 cylinder, 3L turbo engine.
Mated to the rebuilt & strengthened Stubby R380 & rebuilt & strengthened LT230.

Ill make a separate post about the engine as it has s few interesting things about it & the installation. Well I think their kind of interesting anyway. :-)

It will be 300hp at 4250-4400rpm & 300ft/lb at 1400-1600rpm.

Cheers, Allen

Thanks Aussie-Chris, as you probably saw on my FB build page there is small change in the engine power output.

Having Diesel Pump UK build the build the pump with 7.5mm elements, a custom manifold and one of their hybrid k14 fast spool turbos.
Power with this turbo is just a bit lower at 270hp - 280hp but 325ft/lb torque. The reason for using this set up is the power comes in a lower rpm and has very fast spool up.

Ollie North is building my adapter and custom flywheel to mate the OM603 to the rebuilt and strengthened R380 stubby gearbox, to go with the Clutchfix HD Tdi clutch. Using a rear mount sump and oil pump also.

First of August I'll get building the new 100" chassis.

Cheers, Allen

Very nice, glad to see you're making some progress. Not so much on mine. I have the drive train removed and electrical out but not much further at this point.
