Checkin' in

Hey-
I'm new and stupid, but cant wait the beat the tar out of my new toy! I just got an 01 Disco II and need to start modifying ASAP ("Sawzall-city" this weekend). If anyone has any suggestions or parts for sale I would appreciate it. Thanks, and I'm sure you'll be hearing from me as I break stuff.

Sorry, shoulda checked in.

Hey guys, sorry about posting before checking in . Never been able to follow directions. Been lurking for a couple years, just checkin it out cause I love offroading.
My name is Luke McCain and I live in St. John, U.S Virgin Islands.

90 RR Classic, converted to Non ABS (thanks to you guys), sawzall wheelwells, and 255/85/16 Trxus MT. Future plans include Toy 3rd swap, 35s and lockers.(If I win the lotto, 2.8 Powerstroke). I will continue to lurk since I have nothing to add as far as tech, might have some Qs in the future.

Don't get lippy like my minion here and expect to walk away without a scratch.

Actually KC had a non motorized vehicle accident and we are all lucky he did not get hurt worse. So much for that date with the supermodel next weekend.

Hello

So, I have been lurking for a while now...you know how it goes. I do have a question that I wanted to ask, so I am now registered and will make a normal thread asking that question. PBB is a great read for someone new to Rovers like me, despite most of it being over my head.

About me:

Jeff
'97 Disco 117k miles
Michigan truck, now in California.
Oil leaks are my friend now.

I have only owned the vehicle one year. Have vast dreams of modding, fixing, fabbing, and anything I can think of. Reality is always a downer, yet I continue. I guess I haven't totally decided if I'm going to learn from this rover first, then get another disco and mod it, or get another with less miles and make it more trail worthy.

I wish I could say I had some trail carnage pictures for you all, but the best I could do would be to show what a golf ball cannon does to a resonator when your buddies steal said resonator from you/your car and shoot through it.

Jeff

Thanks guys - but I'm all set with a brushguard and swaybars. I just lifted it and got it a new pair of shoes. What I'm looking for next is a winch bumper and some skid plates. I'll keep hunting.

Decided to wander in from the Classified and Dodge forums. Been wheelin' Rover's Pappy for 15 years or so, but have a chance to trade for a Series IIa, and figured I might as well get my practice with the asbestos suit in here first before I jump in the firepit of the forums.

Going to Search function now....

Long time reader, first time poster.

2005 D3 SE. My first Landy and I really like it, suprisingly more capable than Patrol and Cruiser - which is why I got it.

Brand new car w/warranty, so no dumb newbie questions from me . . . that's what the dealers are for.

Also proud to be a Subaru owner, as you may be able to tell from my username.

Checking In

Hello,

My name is John and I recently moved down to Texas from Alaska. I don't have a lot of money to spend on the Rover, but I like talking about what could be. I don't know if I can give any mechanical advice to anybody, but if anybody ever needs an extra pair of hands to do some work and I'm in the area let me know.

I'll see you all around.

John

First post for me on the new site! Its nice to see others with the land rover affliction!

I need to design a fuel tank/ system to supply all the petrol I need at almost any angle! Specifically for winch challenge events in the UK!

Any help would be really appreciated!!

Nice double-post, newby!

It'll get moved to the forum (maybe Newbie 4x4 ), but a fuel cell seems to be where you're heading!

Why am I writing with all exclamation points! I don't know!

Now it's time to start searching! Try "fuel cell" in the search box! Look in General 4x4!
