Well get the wife to import em then

A good US supply for Thar parts could be rather lucrative side hussle.

So, how much sheetmetal are you planning on cutting off? Or are you planning on running 12" long shackles to get enough shackle lift (plans on first page)?

As much as it takes. Things have changed a bit from the original plans.

9" axles front and rear.
5.43 gears and 35 spline spools front and rear
39.5 Bias Iroks
YJ leafs
Custom Cage
Armor
etc.

Just because I said hi to you in your purdy white truck didn't mean that maybe your brother or some other friend was bringing it. (you do have friends don't you? )

Making some progress.

Waiting on some parts for the front axle.

Getting the old brackets cut off and the new ones fabbed up.

If you are going to cut and replace that much, what was the point of spending that much for the core vehicle? An old CJ would have cost pennies by comparison. And would have been eligible for tags.

It is cool what you're doing, but still.

It's still happening, just not for KOH this year. We are planning to run the east coast series this year and KOH 2020. Gives us some more time to figure out some design changes we are making. Planning to have the roxor done for KOH this year so we can check it out though.

So far, all I've cut is the leaf spring mounts. It's not like I've cut it up and made a buggy out of it.

Jeeps in Michigan are rusty. Whether it's a CJ, YJ, TJ and even some JK's. This thing is brand new, you can pick any color you want, all steel body, already has an electronic Turbo Diesel, cast iron 5 speed trans, cast iron T-case, interior is bed lined, etc. Seemed like a good base for a crawler.

Original build plans didn't consist of 40s, but I got an awesome deal on these Iroks from a buddy so I skewed the plans a little. Trying to keep it leaf springs to save some cost and also keep it similar to how it was built originally.

Holding it's own weight in the front. Switched out the 2.5" YJ leafs for 4" YJ leafs.

Front axle will be coming back out for steering and adding .25" diff guard to the bottom half.

Lot's of work to do still.

Haha thanks.

Mainly to keep it low while maintaining a spring that isn't flat.

Getting shocks mounted up. Also modified the bumper to fit back on.

After shock mounts are complete I'll move onto bump stops, then pull the front axle for final welding on brackets and adding some beef to the diff.
