I apologize in advance and don't want to relapse into your past but seeing you have Delaware friends... Did your in-laws live on Edjil Drive in Newark? Long story short I bought the house next store and the stories seem to close to be sure. Again, I apologize...

Excellent information - thank again. It's an F-350 cab/chassis so the 4x4 is all factory ford. 3 speed auto and a who-knows transfer case (it's as big as a house though). There are provisions for shore power, and it's got a 115v/700watt plug in the box. I will locate the build plate for the coach and contact the factory if possible.

Thanks Gavan. It's 7.3 idi. Hourmeter under the hood reads 378 hrs. I saw banks does a turbo kit, but for $3k(!) Looked hard for rust and found none. Didn't see a build plate but it looked very similar to carcrafter22's E350 box as far as layout of doors, lockers, latches, etc. The paint is bright and shiny, even the roof is sharp. It doesn't come with any manuals though and I'm totally at a loss looking in the electronics locker. Everything is perfect and clean in there; do you guys keep it all for camper conversions? Or strip it out and build it back in as needed with commercial RV bits? There's a corporation yard that fixes fire/rescue equipment that I pass on my way to work - I bet somebody'd consult with me for an hour's wage some Saturday. Any websites I can use to read up and get educated on equipment? Thanks again - this is super helpful.

    Hi Gavan,

Saw your informative tips on carcrafter22's ambulance/camper build (e.g., don't do singles, reasons why agencies retire rigs, etc). I'm looking at buying an 89 F350 Type 1(?) 4x4 ambulance with 22k orginal miles. Was an FBI response truck stored in doors. Any tips on weirdness I shoud be aware of? Thanks a ton man, I'm shooting in the dark here. - Chris in SoCal.
