I also had to add about 1/2" to slave cylinder rod to get enough disengaged on clutch. Worked great. When I redo it I'm adding cross member to trans and to transfer case and a track bar to rear

Its close but it worked. I used brake line double flared and no hose since it was within 1/2" of manifold. My best advice on bracing is where the transfer case rod goes back to tranny take the rod out and brace it to frame.

Hey how's it going. I didn't want to hijack your thread but i had a question for ya. Im doing a 5.3 swap in my 83 and want to put a sm465 behind it. Only problem is i hear about alot of clearance issues with the slave cylinder and exhaust. Did you have any problems?
