Love the build and the rig!

Was there a particular reason you're only running an 8" stroke ram on your steering? I saw you mention a 9" stroke ram at one point. I ask because i've got 2 10" stroke rams on my rig (4 wheel steering) and they can go from full lock to lock without any axle shaft bind.

I know this thread has been pretty much dead for a while, but I was just curious about a couple of things. I cant really tell by the photos and you do not mention it, but did you have to cut the crossmember that was under the original Mercedes bell housing to get the new V8 in there? If so did you do anything to strengthen the frame? Or did you feel that there was really no need? Thanks! Love your build, I recently bought a 404 and am in the midst of making power plant decisions.
