Hopefully I didn't miss someone asking this question. With the LS mated to a Turbo400 will the engine oil pan and trans pan bottoms have the same ground clearance?
Also, shipping to 66062

Thanks..

They are pretty close. The picture below is a 6.0L with the pro series pan and a TH400. Shipping to you is about $27.

The remote oil filter adapter is for an oil cooler right? How much is that needed for "eventually" racing?

The remote oil filter adapter allows you to run a remote oil filter. You can actually use factory style oil cooler lines or a Lingenfelter unit pictured below.

OK, thanks. I'm dumb on this topic so forgive my ignorance, but why run a remote filter vs. the stock one? Packaging or performance?

On some models like a Jeep CJ, depending on how much lift it has, you may run into a clearance issue between the driveshaft and the edge of the oil filter. When you run the filter remotely you would have two lines coming out where the filter was allowing for a couple inches of extra clearance. Or in say an Ultra 4 buggy it may be more convenient to mount the filter in a more accessible location.

Just read every page and I have the same question, but for running a 6l90 auto trans. I'm running a double triangulated 4-link in front and the lowers converge just under the back of the trans pan.

The 6L90 hangs a bit lower than the TH400. Measuring from the locating pins on the bellhousing to the bottom of the pan is about 11".

What's everyone doing for the back 2 bolts?

The stock bolts are M6-1.0x135mm Bolts. I guess I'll measure the threaded length of the stock bolts and get something a little shorter than that section.

So no option to buy either the oil filter base or the remote adapter , I would need to buy the pan kit and then add the 75 $ remote adapter and shelf the oil filter base I'll never use.

The pan comes standard with the oil filter block. The remote block is sold separately. Give me a call on Monday 408-600-0122.
