No detering happening. Not my first rear flat at high speed. Best I can figure is that I spoon pinched it when installing, or had a crease. I kicked it as I do every morning and it felt solid. Not like it was flat. Something felt "off" after the first 3 or so miles but I just chalked it up as an unfamiliar, new tire.

About 7 miles I got a little vibration (guessing that's when the balancing weights melted off)... About 15 miles SHTF.

Rim was so hot you couldn't touch it for almost 30 minutes.

It's a 2012 S, so it came with all black plastics. Just some carb work, fmf exhaust, new bars, and Kenda K760 tires. Nothing major done. Everything else is just cosmetic stuff like replacing all the big gay lights on it, tinted headlight, painted wheels, mirrors and handguards. I have a set of Warp9 wheels for it with street tires on it for riding around town.

Runs good, I'm going leave the engine alone for a while since it only has 2800 miles on it.

Moonshine enduro in PA. Our local not-a-club club almost filled out 2 entire rows. No pics of those other fuckers though haha. The Xtrainer is TINY compared to my Husky

I got 8th in class out of 20-something folks. 2nd - 8th were covered by 4 points. I managed to drop the least amount of points in one of the tests for my class, which I've never done before

A local shop had a truck set up at the gas stop (which we hit 3 times that day as the trails looped out and back) and were fixing flat tires for folks. They were busy

No snow here either! (Snicker)
Got the new quick shifter working perfectly. Went for a ride from LAX looking for lunch and found it in Malibu
Hit Decker Cyn, Mullholland Hwy, Topanga Cyn, and didn't get home 'till after dark with sticky tires and hot brakes.

Annual Hangover harescramble. Was 6 degrees out when I got there.

Felt like I rode decently considering how treacherous it was. Didn't think I was running this well, but I'll take it This is my first ever podium in a hare scramble (previous best was 5th)

Cruising down the road 'bout a mile from the house. Ice Cube "It was a good day" blaring in my helmet...

Then I ran outtah gas.

At least the sunrise was nice.

Glad you decided to come out to a race finally! Next VCHSS race is the 27th

I finished 7th in class at that race after getting stuck in a creek (had been battling for 3rd/4th)

Annual HMT trip

And a little off trail excursion. Got a bit too close to the edge and it crumbled.

Rear brakes were an issue all weekend. Turns out I have a slow seep where the fitting is crimped on to the line Ok fine, I'll just top it off every so often. Then the rear pads wore down, no big deal, I have a tote full of spare par... Fuck I forgot it at home. Run in to town and get pads from the local shop. $30 for some unknown name brand things. Fine whatever, I need pads and this is what is available. Pop them in before the ride and head out. They last 13 miles. THIRTEEN FUCKING MILES and I'm down to the backing plates already. So now that rotor is trashed and the day was cut short.

Also wasn't the only one to go off the mountain. My riding buddy's dad sent his quad off the first day, only a few miles in.

I'll ride from the So Bay through Wrightwood and around the Crest every weekend I'm in town. I usually stop for good conversation and shitty coffee at Newcombs If you go up on a Saturday or Sunday morning I probably know you

I have poor taste in bikes too. Look for the EBR, Buell, or anything else ugly, and thats me come over and say Hi!

Best finish yet on the Beta, 4th in C-Vet. Ties my best finish in this series so far that I got on the little Husky at the start of the year. 39th overall from 190

Two questions for ya Sceep:

Where is the mill in your photo? It looks really well preserved!

Looks like you and your dad run trials type tires. What brand and how do you like them? Your photos are similar to the terrain I ride and next spring is new tire time.
