Mill is just across 550 from the Black Bear Pass trailhead. Just off of Red Mountain Pass. https://www.google.com/maps/place/37...4d-107.7110434

Everyone in our gang runs trials tires. The taller sidewall allows you to run lower pressure, they dont tear up the trails as bad as a knobby, and they stick like a mofo to our rocks. Have loved them in CO as well. I would def recommend you try at least a rear unless your typical riding includes lots of gross mud.

The Kenda Equilibrium is a great hybrid trials tire. Also the Shinko cheater 505 is great and wears like iron for a gummy.

Clobbered a tree on the Beta 2 weeks ago and found out I bent the bar clamp hardware on Saturday while going over it for Sunday's enduro. Could not locate replacement bolts in town so the ol' Husky got called off the bench.

Only finished 8th in class. I am not very good at endless miles of NJ sand whoops

No dirt here for a bit yet. Did go riding to a few places it's not really possible to go on a bike. Crazy what 10' of snow to smooth out the terrain does.

I can totally relate. This west coast winter has been BRUTALÉ. Yuk yuk yuk.

It got so cold I wore long sleeves at night!

high 20's-low30' in the AM, 60's-high 70's PM has made the commute this week awesome.

What hasnt been awesome is the 2 highspeed flats resulting in two tows in under 12 hours.

Dad and I competed in a 2 day trials event over the weekend. We had been in novice class the past few years but after Februarys event decided to step up to amateur. Its a BIG step up but it seems to be where we should be. Lots of room to learn and grow.

We took 3rd and 4th out of a class of 7. Good times.

Tough like RORR in PA. I haven't been riding much difficult stuff the last year or two and this race let me know it. I only ran the Saturday qualifying races, although I did enough to make it in to Sunday's morning race. I was just too beat to even try it.

Old man and his cronies let me tag along on a two track trip in W NM. Gorgeous area of big pines and lava flows that I have never explored and wouldn't have even known was out there.

It was July 4 weekend, we did a 40 mile loop of easy two-track and never saw another person. I was blown away. Will be back to explore some more.

Did some riding over the 4th at a buddies place. Had a split in the sidewall of the front tire so changed it out for a Kenda Ibex. Local shop recommended it, feels really sticky but held up and worked well enough as far as I could tell. Front end definitely felt more planted.
