Post your pics of todays ride.

Where'd you go today? (or yesterday, or last week....)

Had 90 minutes to waste yesterday aft so I headed East to Wagon Wheel, NM to look around.

Found this big arse pile of reclaimed asphalt.

Found a nice dirt road...

...that 11 miles in, ended with many "Private road. Do not continue" signs at this ranch...

...so I flipped around and headed for some refreshment.

When? We are going to be pretty busy the next few weeks but I could at least point you in some direction.

We went and let a couple BMW's and a Tiger try and keep up with us. Wasn't going to happen.

Found some cool new dirt roads and camping spots that I never knew about.

Sceep, you always seem to find deals. What did you grab that KTM for (if you don't mind me asking) and has it been good to you?

my dad actually picked up a pair of them for $6k that were in pieces. PO had torn into them to do a valve job, realized he was in over his head, and never re-assembled. sat in his barn for 3 years.

After putting them back together, replacing parts that were missing and fixing things that were busted/rotted/worn, we are into them $5k(ish) each.

Dads has been much more reliable so far. But he has been riding his almost a year longer so he has had the time to work out some kinks. Right now i;m fighting a 4500-6k RPM stumble that I just cant get rid of.

Did my first time keeping enduro last weekend (had previous done a start control enduro).

Waiting at the start

I had a guy on my row racing in B-200 who was keeping time and apparently he was pretty decent at it, as it helped get me my first win in any sort of race.

Sorry I didn't respond to this earlier. I didn't see your post. I have the 1000 and I absolutely love it. I've never ridden a 650, but I honestly doubt I'd be unhappy with it. I've also never ridden 2 up with it, so I don't have much of an opinion on that. It certainly wouldn't lack for power if you have a passenger.
