Any of these mountain bikes any good?

I have a 2001 or so Mongoose Zero-G2 full suspension bike I bought around 2004 for $40. I have more than got my money’s worth. It was before Mongoose became a crappy store brand. I think back in the day it retailed for $400ish new. The bike still works just fine but I am itching for an upgrade. I use the bike for just groomed trail riding with kids and maybe, maybe one technical trail ride a year. My Mongoose still works for what I need so I really don’t need the latest or greatest. I know there has been a ton of advancement in bike technology in the last 15 years. So here are the contenders:

Stock 2002 Trek 8000 zr9000 hardtail frame. Seems to be in very good shape. $100

2002ish Giant nrs xtc3 full suspension. At least has an upgraded front fork - Manitou Skareb SPV. In good shape but definitely has been ridden. I could get it for around $100-150.

Lastly a 4 year old Specialized Hardrock or other similar entry level bike. I could find one for $150 or so.

So what do you think?
I am a deal finder and sometimes in my hunt of a “deal” I ignore that I don’t really need something.
Is a more modern entry level bike better than a ~15 year old higher end bike? I know any of them should work fine for what I need it for.
Should I just hold out for an entry level 29” like a Hardrock or similar?
Are 29ers that much better than a 26” bike?
Or are none of these a lot better than my trusty Mongoose?
