90 Nissan Patrol in SE TX

Hello from Houston. Just picked up a 1990 Nissan Patrol GR (read left hand drive) with a 2.8 turbodiesel. The body and interior are in really good shape. It does have a blown head gasket. This will be a light restoration and mild expo build. Will keep everyone posted!

Old Newbie checking in

Hello all - Was on here several years ago and did a couple builds that I had posted on here. But I've been off for a bit. Guess I need to get some more posts built back up to get access to some other boards for my new build.

The new build which is - admittedly - probably a really bad idea... but what else am I going to do with all this extra time and money???

Look for me in "expedition rigs" and "info about D60s".

Just stopped I to say hi. I live in NE Oregon (practically I'm Idaho) and am currently working on building my first jeep. I grew up in the mountains, driving pickups and hunting. So, the whole concept of a 4x4 is not new to me. But I've wanted a jeep for years. And I stared building my yj last summer with the help of a good friend. I'm hoping to get it running consistently before summer so I can go fishing and get it broke in before hunting season.

Newbie

I am a 54 yr old newbie. I just purchased my first 4x4 (2018 Jeep JK Unlimited Sport) in April 2018. I am a grandfather. My wife and I like to go camping. Prior to this purchased I owned numerous trucks. I am looking forward to learning all I can, getting out unto the trails and exploring.

Hola Pirate. Started 15 years ago with Hondas (blame the F&F movies) and have been an on and off regular at Hondaswap.

Been lurking here for years too. Love the projects and fab work I see here. Joined a few years back to try and sell a Willys Wagon.

Just got an IH B-110/112? and figured this was a better site to try some questions than an import site.

Newb thinks he can wheel a Land Rover!

Didn't know I had to check-in. I guess the Police State has infiltrated PBB.
Old Guy newbie, with 4 grandkids. Haven't done much off-roading, but I'm really enjoying learning how. Flopped the truck my first time out (June 2014), glad I was with a great club. They jumped in and righted the ship, then I was hooked.
I am running a 2000 Land Rover Discovery II. I have replaced the engine with an aluminum GMC LM4 5.3L (Think LS with a truck intake) and a built 4L60E, stock Land Rover LT230 transfer case, 4.71 Gears, 37" PBRR's, TrailWorthy Fab wheels and a big dose of blood and treasure. I want to see how far this converted mall crawler will take me.

I guess that I'm a newbie, need to get post count up to be able to do much. I've been a mechanic all my life, medium/ heavy duty, have done machine work and have a complete machine shop.
Spent the last 7 years 600 feet underground, running equipment and trying to keep it going in what I called: An underground mud bog and water park.

Typically don't think of myself as a newbie, but compared to some of the beast builds around here, I probably am. :-) Created account years ago, but never used it. Running a locked '05 Jeep LJ with 35s that I built, and looking to get more serious.
