38x13 TSL's on the road?

Quick stupid question, am i retarded for thinking about buying a set of 38x13 TSL's to drive on the road? Its not a daily driver, just a weekend truck. Or should i just buck up and buy a set of 39.5x13.50 IROK radials?

You'll be fine on the TSLs as long as you're not a little bitch. I daily drove on 39.5x15s in the snow for a few weeks, wasn't bad.

That's going to be up to you. Some people can't hack it. They really do suck as a street tire. If the way your truck handles is important, don't do it. But if street performance is something you're willing to give up in the name of dirt performance and looks, go for it.

There are tires available now that are both better on road and off road. So I think unless you just mud bog a lot or need a weird rim size like 16.5, you should look for other options outside of the interco line up.

@Action Fab

Like what? Im interested in other opinions, here's me criteria:

-38"-40"
-Id like to use this set of 16" wheels i have (since it will be on 1 tons)
-will be used on and off road
-Need a set of 5
-Total cost under $2000

I had a set of 38 inch Grand Prix Mudders bias tires on my 75 Dodge back in college. Drove them bald then found a used set of 35 inch TSLs to put on. Yes they are noisy and take a good 10 miles every morning to get round again but if you have a car to daily drive, they make a great weekend toy tire.
