Hydro assist shudder

Just put hydro assist on my pickup and with the engine off everything is fine. As soon as it is running and pressure is on the system I get a shudder like it doesn't want to turn. I am assuming it is just air in the system but I thought I would ask my betters and find out for sure. So anyone have anything other than bleed it more?

Thatís it! Just bleed it more.
You can start by removing the lines for the ram at there highest points
Add fluid and work ram manually.
Then reinstall lines, fill res and with the front end of truck raised and supported
Manually work steering lock to lock.
Recheck fluid level add if needed. Start truck let sit at idle for a minute or two.
Then slowly turn wheels lock to lock 6-7 times. This should get all air out of system. Trick is NEVER LET FLUID GET LOW while bleeding hydro system.

Howe has a great steering bleeding instructions. Essentially whatís stated above.

Mine had a Toyota box and I drilled and tapped it in a slightly wrong spot and it would violently jerk back and forth with any steering input. Redrilled it in a different spot and been fine since.
