|fcfred||be a man and stay manual, you can always swap in the auto later if you do indeed break axles.|

|Brutpwr||The overdrive would be an unneeded expense but would be nice when you'd like to go 45+ in low range without overreving!|

No need for overdrive & the hassle of the computer if you never plan to go over 45. TH400.

Nv4500, Th400, Or 4l80e
I have a NV4500 right now for my latest project, but I'm afraid that I bought too much motor for my style of driving and I need some help with the transmission selection. It's a 95 YJ with a Vortec 454, soon to have Atlas, HP 60's, and 39.5" Boggers. Back to the question, I'm afraid that I will snap front axles (even with CTM's and Superior Chromo shafts) with a stick. So I'm wondering what the general consensus is with the list of trans in the title. Jeep will not be driven on the hwy, but I would like to be able to go over 45 mph if I wanted. Typical type of terrain would be Tellico or Windrock.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
