|MNorby||similar setup I have, 6.0/th400/3.8 case. Maybe old a few snow wheeling instances I wish I had slower for the deep snow to stay on top but most the time I wish I had a 2:1 or an overdrive for bombing through the snow when traction is decent.|

4:1 low enough with auto/V8 combo?
Putting together a new build, going to be running an atlas 4spd. Specs are 5.3/4L60/5.13's/37s in a YJ. Trying to decide on either 4.08:1 or the 5.44:1 overall ratio. For me the 4:1 case makes more sense. 1.5 for sand and snow, 2.72 for regular trails and 4:1 for technical stuff. I'm just wondering if 4:1 is going to be low enough for the technical stuff. I've been told that there is such a thing as too low with an auto, but I don't know where that is. I'd be at 64:1 with the 4 case and 85:1 with the 5.44 case. Looking for personal experiences on this, thanks.
