sdrocks2909 very cool, I'm gonna look you guys up when its time for my next ride

yellow4r4 Have you built any with a steering box and hydraulic assist instead of full hydraulic? I'm looking to build a buggy/adventure vehicle that will see quite a bit of road miles between off road runs.

2D EDGE And trust me there was no driver talent, it was all the suspension!

ole' manche' I cant express my satisfaction with tims suspension set up in these rigs. its literally night and day compared to my old buggys homebrew set up.

the video doesn't do this climb justice, but there is a pretty good hole at the bottom and then steep ledge directly after that and the bfr buggy just ate it up.

only rig out of 10 well built buggies to make this climb this weekend.

Bent Fabrications Its good to see it going Ryan. Its an awesome feeling when stuff works right out of the box. Ryan didn't buy the chassis direct from me. Heck, he even wanted to cut up something i had built. I had no problem helping him out in any way i could to make sure it turned out awesome. Welcome to the BFR family.

Sure, its a great accomplishment to set down and design a chassis yourself. But the reality is that people are putting huge amounts of money and commitment into a build to get it done. The last thing you want to do is discover your new ride drives and handles like shit after you spent $50k and a year or more of your life building it. There is a lot of security in taking advantage of the knowledge and design work of buying the chassis from someone that has a proven platform.

ole' manche' yes it is redranger. funny thing is one of my buddies came and got those 47s from you a while after I got the chassis!

little bit of test and tune yesterday with it...sorry no rock video, but the suspension geometry is spot on!

redranger4.0 I believe that was my chassis, Sad I never got around to building it, back to a full bodied beater instead.

ole' manche' heres is a pic of my evo4 turned evo2.....I believe it was the first evo4 chassis put out. I picked it up and decided to make it into an evo2 because I loved the look and the 4 was just too long for the northeast. you can see the space I have for a corbeau bench seat for the kids...still need to do a rear halo. its as close to the measurements of an evo2 as I could make it.

I ordered a skidplate from bent fabrications. super easy to deal with and very helpful with all of my questions even though I hadn't bought the chassis directly from him.if I ever build another one its coming directly from tim.

Its a poser shot as I just got it out of the shop this week.

specs

lexus 1uz motor, jeep aw4, atlas 3.8. d60 competition zip locker, 14 bolt spool. ads coilovers and bumps. RADesigns winters shifter. 113" wheelbase. 19" belly

This fits the profile of what most people are doing, and I recomend them to look at the Coupe. The Coupe can fit a bench seat the same dimensions as the back seat of a Jeep Wrangler (even a few inches wider), though the head room is where its a little tighter. 2 kids, or one adult, fun size ladies.. all fit with no trouble. Its even possible to do 2 PreTeen seats or a single bucket set up like a prerunner instead of a bench pending what a person might be wanting out of the chassis. However, If your looking to haul your 3 best buddies that are all 5'11" and 245lbs.. that's where the Coupe is just going to be too tight and we would need to consider something like the EVO4

Here's a Coupe at full bump on 40" Treps, D60's, LQ9

Bent Fabrications There's really very few pics out there of an EVO4 since there has only been 2 of those chassis's built.. in fact, one of the 2 was re-sold and cut down to the size of an EVO2 EX..

The EVO4 is a big ol beast of a machine, its original intentions were to basically have room to handle a full size bench in the front and rear allowing you to load up a group of 6 full size adults and still have room for a cooler big enough to keep all 6 of you plenty of cold beverages

The 1st one out of here did get built out with recommendations from me and turned out very nice. It handles awesome and rides smooth, Steering Rockwells on both ends with 46" tires look right at home to keep proportions in check.

Although its not really much bigger than a 4 door Jeep, I don't recommend this one to very many people. It's just not the answer the majority of people that are looking for a compact 4 seater are looking for. But, if you want a land roaming beast to take to the Hammers, go anywhere you want to go, and carry your whole pit crew around at once... well, there probably isn't a better way to do it.

Here's a few pics of the one that's out there running around.

poolman450 finally got a rolling chassis on my EVO2...only took me a year to collect parts... build axles...get time off....lol

Bent Fabrications If your keeping up on FB, you know I've been contemplating a possible new design (EVO3)... It would be an all tube, more race oriented format.

Here's a peak with a some ideas of bracing... like it or not?

BARE version (no bracing included) would run ~$2500. Additional bracing is easily added by the customer or us.

Letting it go for $3500 to the first one that steps up. I need it gone (or can put it in line for a build if you want extras)

Again, best way to get ahold of me is email right now.

Check out some pics of it being built and details of the chassis here: EVOLUTION SPEED album on Photobucket
