Idk. I assumed they had the 208 like the majority of the cucv trucks.ive never heard that before but when they come up everyone wants to talk about the axles not the drive train.

So how fast would it top out at? Cause theyre 22:1 geared. In high range!

Its fine. It will drive a lot better than you think. They have super deep gears and will hit 65 no probs.......unloaded.

I drive mine with 7-8k lbs on it and didnt even need to split gear.

In this day and age, yes. When it was built, it was completely adequate. My dad moved us from Connecticut to Arizona in 1978 with a truck like that, only it had a 20' box on it. They were geared LOW to get things moving and didn't have to go faster than 55-60 mph tops. They got the job done. We had an early 80s C60 at work with a 5-ish yard dump bed on it rocking a 350 with a 4 spd Allison trans and a 2 spd rear. It also got the job done. I really like that truck above
