carlito This thread has some good information, as you will see the striker plates this guy used are different than the ones I suggested above.

Ok my buddy who I got the doors from has these strikers - and they work perfectly, we just test fit the door with these. These are bolted in with two bolts. Same as the pin style striker pods that previous posters have mentioned, except these bolt to the face of the door opening rather than the tub near the roll bar.

They will not work as is, true.

You could fab up a spacer, or find the piece to tac weld to the body.

Rokcrawlr Try this http://ep.yimg.com/ca/I/collinsbros_2105_10717204 bolt to the original striker plate. Something like this could be fab'd very easy.

carlito I`m not too far away from you, i`ll trade my early doors for your wrangler doors. I have an 85 so I could really use the later doors as mine will not latch to my tub, lol. My doors are perfect and not missing anything - but could probably toss in some cash to even it up.

PumpkinCrusher Just put the striker you need. Just a glorified bolt.

carlito Might be bad advice but I think you can drill in a later striker just fine. I am actually looking for the early style strikers for my early doors.
