moveaside Its overkill and not the best solution but I had a buddy run to intank pumps which addresses problems like pump failure quickly(racing), on the side, etc. Made the tank custom and its feeds a 4.3vortec in a tubed 4 runner.
For your purposes and the money you spent a small accumulator would be good. I would check race places like Pegasus Jegs Summit etc. If they don't have it they will tell you. Hell call poly performance they have a ton of stuff.

ZukIzzy Why don't you use in tank pumps with walbro pick ups. or a couple lift pumps to an accumulator then to the high preasure pump.

desertoy You need to have one made. As far as I know, no one sells one. I had an aluminum one on my F-Toy last year at KOH. I made an aluminum tank and it worked great. This time around, I had Brett from Western Fabricators (Toolbox guy on pirate) make me a stainless tank. I went a little more elaborate on the rest of the system but it is the same basic design.

Fuel surge tank

I was wandering if anybody has experience with surge tanks and ftoys. Here is my problem. When laying the rig over on the driver side, the fuel pick-up comes out of the fuel eventually the motor will die. Natually, this is a bigger problem when the tank has less fuel but still is an issue when 3/4 full. There is lots of info on PBB about this subject but have not really seen it in use. The tank i have is from Jazz and looks like these. Capacity is 12 gallons

Here is what I have seen on PBB. Notice two pumps and crap load of fittings

Should i buy one of these small tanks and pipe it like the diagram above or is this crazy

Just found this from a desertoy post. Question is where do i get one
