I don't know what knuckles you are running but we have the brackets for the 250/350 and 450/550.

|06silverback||When I started producing my kits it was almost a must to build it so the knuckle needed no machining as it was a major turnoff to most people. It’s an upgrade to the smaller stock balljoint and I tested a set prior to doing my kits. I didn’t have any catastrophic failures, just the joints wore from the radial load they encounter. I started thinking up ways to basically make it similar to a double shear setup and been happy ever since.|

|stan1688||With all the machining of the knuckles and new spacers, this keeps the knuckle at the same angle as factory, correct? Keeping it good for street use?|

Iíve run 4 lower XRF BJís in my past 2-609ís. They work great and hold up well. This is a pic of my current 609 with 05 SD60 inner Cís and outers.
My old 609, utilized Tera60 inner Cís and Dodge knuckles. Ended up machining custom bolt on Double-sheer arms for it. The Dodge knuckles are already Ďhigh steerí.
Like where youíre heading. From experience, youíll like where it ends up.
My old dodge knuckles with lowers up top.

Progress. This project is complete. Next up is machining bolt-on high steer arms.

Yep. Iíve been using four lower BJís in my 609ís for four years. First axle is still going strong, after the original 4 lower BJ swap and the second has been running well for 1.75 years without issue. Running water filled 39Ē Reds and getting ready to swap on some 42Ē reds.

|LS-YJEEP||A ball joint has a ball and socket. Your using a lower ball joint in the upper. Now they both have lower ball joints. The upper ball now is larger but is the socket any stronger than the stock upper? Same material, so I doubt itís much of an improvement.|

|LS-YJEEP||^^^ is the socket part of the lower stock ball joint really and stronger that the upper ball joint socket??|

I've been working on the lower BJ in the upper BJ location mod. Here's some photos of progress so far. I'm making new split bushings to accept the lower balljoint which requires a larger tapered hole. Then, all that is needed is to bore out the knuckle to accept the larger balljoint. Should be finished with my prototypes this week.
I like this mod because it uses off the shelf parts and they are strong. The only custom machining required is to bore out the knuckle, and the bushings don't have to be welded in. They just insert like the stock ones so they are easily replaceable.
Knuckle machined, and lower balljoint pressed into upper balljoint location on knuckle.
New bushings prior to machining the tapered hole and machining the split.
