|MNorby||From my friends experience get a 6.4 ram with 4.10s and not 3.73s. My 2015 Silverado 6.0 truck will out tow his 2014 6.4 Ram even though I am 50+ HP lower on paper. The GM has 4.10s and a lower 1st in the tranny though so getting the load moving is a big play there. Watch the TFL trucks or whatever they are called for the IKE gauntlet test.|

|ky scrambled||I know three guys that went from Duramax's to the 6.4. They LOOOOVE the 6.4. Keep in mind that they LOOOOOVED the Duramax when they had them also. That's how most folks are I think.|

Asking which one to get will give you opinions all over the place, and everyone has a buddy who has either had to take it to the dealer a million times or who has a million miles on it and never changed the oil. The big 3 all make a similar capable, similar quality, similar priced vehicle.
If you've always liked Fords and don't have a bad taste in your mouth over what the last one did to you get another Ford, you will like it better than the Ram. If you hate your current Ford and it did you wrong, get the Ram you'll like it better than the Ford.

|YotaAtieToo||I hate to break it to you, but all the brands are getting cheaper. Going to a fiat to get a more quality truck is laughable. Only guy I know with a new 6.4 2500 had to take it back to the dealer twice in the first few hundred miles.|

I am going to have a "return to stock sale" this summer
I will be taking off most everything after market and selling it
Hopefully the truck so be gone before fall, just depending when I find another truck
Debating taking the ARE cap off also and selling it, but I don't see many 6.5 foot bed trucks, in blue

Yep those type of lug nuts suck. Pulled 4 caps off on my gf's edge last time I rotated her tires.
Mine on my fuel wheels are almost rounded off from rotating so much. Definitely getting a new set next time.
Have you guys cleaned the 3 map sensors yet? I've read they get pretty dirty and can pick up some milage if cleaned. Need to try mine as I have 163k and haven't cleaned them yet.

Another oil change complete. Pennzoil had a $10 rebate offer on their 5qt jugs of synthetic, so this oil and filter change was much cheaper
I also completely removed the rear driveshaft from the truck, to grease the splines at the slip yoke at the tcase and also the splines inside the rubber boot near the carrier bearing
Both areas were greased by Ford last May, and both areas were completely dry
I took it out for a test drive last night and it's very smooth, and quiet again. See how this lasts and if the Amsoil grease is any better.

Not sure if I mentioned it in this thread or not but a few years ago I thought my truck had the driveshaft clunk as well. Brought it to the dealer and they knew all about it but ended up reprogramming my transmission control module and it got rid of it completely so might be something to think about.

you have to feed the bearings oil or they're gonna have a bad time. All turbos are oiled, some use coolant to cool them.
the big fat corrugated line on the bottom of the turbo is the oil return line.
eventually you're probably gonna have an oil leak at the turbo.
standard turbo shit. I've done all the orings on my wife's turbo volvo @ 113K. The oil cooler ones too. They didn't leak, but I was there doing other shit and they're simple.

I decided to use Amsoil Synthetic Polymeric Off-Road Grease, NLGI #2
(NLGI #2 - 5% Moly)
Only need one clamp and I can reused the current boot
