ihojeff Appreciate the answer. I wish I saved the cheaper Duplicolor for the back of my pickup instead of a nice builder. If I were to roll on another layer or two of Duplicolor what can I use to add some grit? I would assume sand but any type? Thanks.

Dalec I haven't done it, but I would guess that the Herculiner would partially disolve or bubble the DupliColor. You also wouldn't have the benifit of Hurculiner's resistance to peeling off. Xylene and lacquer thinner are both nonpolar, so they will not repel eachother (things that mix with water are polar). Xylene is highly nonpolar, so for it to be recomended, would indicate that the DupliColor may not mix well with Herculiner, and may leave a layer that isn't bonded well.

Building a Scout I rolled in DupliColors brand bedliner inside the tub. I really don't like the finish. I've used Herculiner in the past and like it. Can I roll the Herculiner over the already rolled in Duplicolor? The DupliColor uses Lacquer Thinner for cleanup while the Herculiner uses Xylene. I'm worried about the Herculiner not sticking or having a chemical reaction. Thanks.
