sleepsontoilet Got the motor stripped down this morning, and swung back by the junkyard. Was able to grab the injectors from the 03 GTP, an 04 N* TB, and a LQ4 MAF for $75. I messaged ZZP to make sure I was buying the correct adapters and pigtail. Wondering if I should suck it up and do a cam swap as most of my reading says I would need that or rockers. Planning on another 3.3/3.4 pulley with headers, advice?

I already started gathering parts this week. Unfortunately when you pick a top builder you have to accept their busy schedule. I've spoken briefly to Jesse about his chassis plans and portals, but went on vacation last week and he's been swamped this week. Hopefully soon I can get that nailed down, so I can start building and stop bothering him hahaha. So far I have:

2004 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP series III supercharged 3800
Mid 2000 Isuzu 3.5l bellhousing
Mid 2000 Jeep Cherokee AW4 trans

The info on the series III as a stand alone swap are scarce. It's a dbw motor and can be finicky if the tune isn't right. The pedal plugs into the entire cars harness unlike the LS, so it's not simple. I'm converting back to dbc with an adapter plate. Been emailing Jim's Performance back and forth, along with searching 5+ 3800 forums and doing my own junkyard research. I'm 99.5% I have all the parts and can get the harness/pcm taken care of now.

If you need anything, let me try and make it right for you. I think it'll take all you dish, but I'd hate to be high and dry if I bought something too.

By the way, that was a series II. The series III is supposed to make even more power...

But for Alex, thanks for the invite! man those short corses look pretty fun, I watched some of your guys videos on it and I am for sure interested. If I make it up for a weekend I'll try and get ahold of you and you and your guys will have to show some of my buddies around,

Hopefully Scott will update it, I'm pretty sure he said he sometimes gets on Pirate. Have a few drive train leads, and trying to come up with a chassis soon.

I've got a pretty good pile of parts waiting on a few more pennies & ideas to come to fruition myself. Probably won't run into you on any werock courses, but I'll be watching for the new build for sure.
The wife has been asking where to buy 42s for it, for several months. I've always wanted rear steer, and sacrificed a lot on this keeping the Zuk frame. I have offers asking about selling all the time, so I figured I'd see how serious they are. Worst case I still wheel a beechin Zuk, best case I build a JHF portal Zuk.

I've been back and forth with some East coast cats for a while. If its not sold, I want to head your way for some wheeling since I went west last year.

Keep it for a trail rig, build a comp rig. That's how the high rollers do it.
Man if I had Mizzou money I'd build a few for my friends.

I'm asking 18k for anyone interested, gonna build a portal rig on 42s and want a JHF chassis. His list is pretty long, so I may just buy his plans and build my own version like Hurleygo3 except a Zuk hood.
