you can call mike and have one made. It uses the stock ecu and matches it to your dash and body harness. Plug and play. Sounds like an epic build!

thomas808 i checked out the FROR knuckles. looks interesting, i would like to see more detailed pics, but im sure they are top notch. March 31 release would not have worked for me, i just bought a set from a guy here on pirate so my search is over. I think that 6 ARP studs is legit for attachment, although milling into the knuckle for keyed steering arms is a great idea.

thomas808 some hellfire knuckle porn with ruffstuff steering arms. 6 ARP D60 studs in 1 1/4" billet steel should hold up fine

ruffstuff housing ready to pound! I am aware that my panhard is not parallel but it is as close at it can be until i bend one up and I am out of DOM for the moment.

she's at the exhaust builder right now. Everything is working well so far, i just need to cycle the suspension and mount my air bumps, and limit straps.

thomas808 well the good news is she is running great at this point and i have an appointment with the exhaust builder on thursday... then safety and reg. and I will be on the road and post a video of her cruising!!

thomas808 thats an awesome shot right there!! at least there is a good story to go with it... glad to hear the 9.5's are holding up. I really wanted to go all toyota as much as possible, maybe a glutton for punishment but im pretty sure im saving close to 200;bs of unsprung weight by running 9.5's vs 1ton gear AND i can have only one spare 3rd that will fit both front or rear since its hypoid mid pinion it doesnt care .... the idea of using the best of toyota's parts across a spectrum of years and trucks makes it sort of an art project/puzzle to match the philosophy of use.


Ideally i would like to redo my whole drivetrain setup with a passenger side front axle and a uzj100 or fj80 full time AWD transfer case. The one in my 100 series cruiser takes a fucking beating with a 7k lb fully loaded rig and doesnt even make a face.

Nope broke a T case input.. and broke a couple RCV 30 spline inner shafts.. and then twisted a t case front output.

But my rig is fairly light

Hit the rev 7200 rpm rev limiter right before I came down lol *POP* that little RCV didn't have a chance

that flange would have been amazingly helpful... i saw those going around a while back but could not get my hands on one!! lmk if you want to send it my way.

I got the LC Pro 3vz clutch that is rated for 300ft/lb and 300 HP. This stock 2uz is only 230HP and 300 ft lb so hopefully it works out. It should if its rating is correct. I know it has more clamping power than a stock 5vz clutch which holds for a supercharged 3.4 and Ive driven that. I think realistically i can expect the same performance characteristics as a supercharged 3.4 with slightly more tq and slightly less HP. I will definitely find out soon!!

89lc So, I have a UZ oil pan flange to make your own pan somewhere in my garage. Also, not sure how that clutch will hold up. I had a 3sgte clutch from southbend that I could get to slip after beating on it. That was behind a 1uz. The fj60 master works good

thomas808 since that photo, i have gotten my radiator and fan mounted, and installed my Off Road Solutions 2uz swap harness.

The engine is currently running but only have headers so i have an exhaust appt this week.

My tacoma clutch master cylinder bore is too small to run the t56 throwout bearing slave cylinder, so i have to get a 3/4" bore FJ60 one.

the smile on my face when she first started up was awesome. My neighbor has been watching me over the fence trying to figure out the wiring and get her running, as soon as she started up i heard him hooting hahahaha it was awesome.

the 35"s look small now!!

frame hieght is 24.5 on 35's

5" uptravel soon to be closer to 6" once i bend up my panhard

and...... the friggin hood fits

thomas808 here is one of the inboarded upper link mounts i made. i plated the frame for 14" then welded this to the plate. its made of 1/4" thick angle and (2) 1/4" plates triangulated into each other.... I ll find out if its strong enough.



this is my coilover hoop with a flat piece of 1/4" to then attach my cross brace between the hoops over the engine. Up to this point i have been really focusing on getting the motor to sit low enough to close the hood, but high enough to be out of the way of the axle.

i thought for sure once i added my reservoirs to the top i would have to cut my hood up. Oh well i did my best but its minor at this point.



here are the new ruffstuff hellfire histeer arms. they are 1 1/4" billet steel. Super beef!! matched up with 1 ton ends though they rub slighlty and i think the rubber boots are gonna chew each other up in no time. also i had to have Luke @4x4labs ream them for 1 ton because ruffstuff built these huge arms with fj80 tapers... i think thats kind of ridiculous but i suppose its for stock swaps.



they take 6 1/2" D60 studs and have adjustable trunion preload, although i cannot figure out how to center the knuckle

motor mount and outboard shock hoop mount to clear steering shaft, which i extended 6" from the previous extension that was from the original sky kit.

then it mates to 1uzswapkits adapter to an r150 from behind a 5vze



o yeah and 1uzswapkit sells a modified 3vze flyweel to bolt u to the 2uz crank.
thats an LC stage 2 3vze clutch

thomas808 my goal was to make the frame to be perfectly parallel with the flat pitman arm.
it turned out almost 100% im happy with it.



inside frame plating ... steel sucks on maui, you pay 200% more for rusty shit
