|PaulJcj7||Any chance theres an update on the condition of this area? The trail being referred to is the one just over the crossing on the left (coming down from Dorrington), yeah?|

Some property owners I know tell me that the road's still washed out, and it's going to be for quite some time. They are able to get to their property by using the utility company roads, they were given permission.
Sorry, that trail inside the sourgrass area is the only one I know that's legal. You can drive up to the washout probably, but that's only a mile or so.

|spoof145||I know this is 10 months later, BUT, with a new winter upon us, and since I live near the area, I would like to know if anyone can confirm or deny that Sourgrass/board's crossing area is LEGAL for snow wheeling.|

Boards crossing / Sourgrass snow trail is completely washed out.
I think the trail is 5N14 where it's washed out, but if you do any snow wheeling off of highway 4 it's the only place to legally do so.
We went up today and up a couple miles past the Sourgrass day use area the trail is completely washed out on the way up to Prather Meadow. There's about 100' of trail missing from a landslide.
It's completely impassable unless you've got a helicopter.
