$2,500

Located Fallbrook, CA: 1955 830T, 501 overhead valve gas engine, ran but needs carb work. 5-spd. (I think) with a 2-spd Eaton axle. 222" wb., 30' 6" long, Air brakes. This truck had an amateur restoration at least 25 years ago, but has since declined in condition. But it is a nice straight original truck, the yellow truck in the photos was the truck before the restoration. It needs a new owner excited to get it running, and clean it up. Have TITLE. Additional loose trim comes with it. Seller is motivated. Local delivery available.

For sure. Luckily he lives only a few miles from his shop.

He owns a welding/fabrication shop and has said that the firetruck was his best advertising investment ever. Cant go anywhere without drumming up business.

Elwenil Well, you could turn a $25 raffle ticket into at least $1k worth of scrap.

Is this factory? Wrong body for 2002 and front 60 on a gm
2002 was the last year for these. They did come with leaf springs up front, but they were only offered from GM in 2wd, so they had an I-beam front axle.

Most upfitters added Dana 70 front axles that were 10-lug, I believe. Based on the extra casting material showing, I believe this is a Dana 70, as well.

Pretty neat, but definitely not worth $15k, especially with a 6.5L TD. They also offered the 8.1L in these in 2002 (possibly 2001?).

That 3500 HD 10 lug truck continued on with the old body for a while. Since the front axle appears to have a real 10 lug hub as well, it was likely done by an upfitter for GM, or just as an aftermarket offering to fill niche market. Pretty cool, but WAY over priced.
Travis..
