cryptic toy | Was just looking at stuff on total chaos and they offer a weld on kit for the upper control arm /shock mount area . It makes it double shear mount. This runner should have these ,for 105$ for them you would get rid of the next week link .

Corey Young | Steering looks nice. Front of the lower a-arm looks like the next area to take hits. Could it be rounded more?

yotota | Now THAT is what the steering mount should be. I skimmed through Big Mike's thread and saw his point that he ran out of time on the build, and that his slotted plates were meant for mockup/testing only. Makes more sense now.

We didn't make AOP, although we really wanted to! See post above for updates. It sadly hasn't left the garage since we got home from KOH. Anxious! Should be getting our new front suspension in the next month or so, then we can finally get it out again! |

NOT SURE WHY PICS AREN'T SHOWING UP... Quick Update: Here's what we've been waiting on - straight from BigMike at Marlin Crawler: https://board.marlincrawler.com/inde...essage=1163197 We've been receiving regular updates from BigMike at Marlin Crawler over the past few months since KOH and are really excited to see his announcement of their RCLT v2.0 Kit. Even better - the first version of v3.0 of Marlin Crawler's RCLT kit that he hints at in the posts is coming to our Steel City Racing 4Runner in a month or two. Can't wait to get our hands on RCLT v3.0 and finally get the 4Runner out of the garage! ![]() ![]() ![]() Also, a few more technical specs and details can be found in BigMike's personal build thread here: https://board.marlincrawler.com/inde...180#msg1163180 And some pics of his Tacoma on 40's with RCT v2.0: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() As a side note, while we've been waiting for RCLT, we stripped the interior, applied a finish coating to our roll-cage and all steel work, re-routed our fuel lines to get rid of some excess hose, and are working on a few small upgrades including looking for ways to cut weight. We also have a few more upgrades planned with RockSolidToys and Otwell Fabrication for KOH 2020! More to come... |

Cool build. Missed you out on the lake bed though. I saw this pic and thought, must be mocking up the steering arms to test for clearance. Scroll down 1/2 a page, bummer. You guys were getting after it. ![]() |

Our 4Runner was chosen as the 2nd Most Innovative car at KOH 2019 by Offroad Extreme, only behind Jordan Pelligrino's IFS/IRS car. https://www.offroadxtreme.com/featur...s-of-koh-2019/ Nice to have some additional exposure for our team and sponsors! |

65Chevy4x4 | You have 28 degree in the CV joint. Now is that 22 angle with wheel straight at droop or turn full lock at droop. The combined droop/turn will add to the angle. I would be surprised you get more than 1 or 2 inches droop but anything will help I'm sure

awesome. I will say that the videos posted on facebook were well done also. ![]() it would be nice to upload them to youtube or ugetube and link those to the forums, not everybody has facebook and it is another simple way to help get more exposure areas. keep at it, glad to see updates |

As a quick update, our Prototype RCLT front suspension is all off and will be shipped back to Marlin this week in anticipation of v2.0 in March: https://www.facebook.com/SteelCityRa...7348032170183/ https://www.facebook.com/SteelCityRa...1887279678866/ Stay tuned. |

1) The Coilover from hitting the spindle 2) The RCV Boot from hitting the Lower A-Arm Marlin is working on changes that will prevent both from occurring in v2.0. Our RCVs are rated for 28 Deg and we're at 22 Deg at the Limit Strap now. We think we can get 3-4" More Downtravel in the Front with these changes. With all this said, we can artificially limit it some just in case. Note these changes will match the 3-4" More Uptravel in the Rear from bending our upper links and raising our Air Bumps. However, the Front will still likely have more travel than the rear, which is less than ideal but it is what it is in light of our 4600 Class Limitations. |

65Chevy4x4 | Was thinking the same thing. I know they said the spindle hit coilover coil spring at droop but it looks like the axle/cv is already into the lower a-arm and wouldn't allow it to droop any farther anyways.

Bones | 3-4" MORE droop? It looked maxed out in your earlier pics.
