Was just looking at stuff on total chaos and they offer a weld on kit for the upper control arm /shock mount area . It makes it double shear mount. This runner should have these ,for 105$ for them you would get rid of the next week link .

We looked for you are the AOP race, but understandable when waiting on parts. Seemed like the racers enjoyed the tight woods etc of that race and seems like Ultra4 will be back there again.

Get your parts in and installed then head up to the Dirty Turtle race in mid-July.

Quick Update: Here's what we've been waiting on - straight from BigMike at Marlin Crawler:

We've been receiving regular updates from BigMike at Marlin Crawler over the past few months since KOH and are really excited to see his announcement of their RCLT v2.0 Kit.

Even better - the first version of v3.0 of Marlin Crawler's RCLT kit that he hints at in the posts is coming to our Steel City Racing 4Runner in a month or two. Can't wait to get our hands on RCLT v3.0 and finally get the 4Runner out of the garage!

As a side note, while we've been waiting for RCLT, we stripped the interior, applied a finish coating to our roll-cage and all steel work, re-routed our fuel lines to get rid of some excess hose, and are working on a few small upgrades including looking for ways to cut weight.

We also have a few more upgrades planned with RockSolidToys and Otwell Fabrication for KOH 2020!

Cool build. Missed you out on the lake bed though.

I saw this pic and thought, must be mocking up the steering arms to test for clearance. Scroll down 1/2 a page, bummer. You guys were getting after it.

Sounds really impressive until you look at the list and see that the 3rd Most Innovative car at KOH was this.

RCV said the shafts can take 30 Degrees at full droop, but recommended not going past 28 degrees. We were measuring the angle of the shaft at full droop (on the limit straps) with the will straight.

I will say that the videos posted on facebook were well done also.

it would be nice to upload them to youtube or ugetube and link those to the forums, not everybody has facebook and it is another simple way to help get more exposure areas.

We had to install shorter limit straps to keep:
1) The Coilover from hitting the spindle
2) The RCV Boot from hitting the Lower A-Arm

Marlin is working on changes that will prevent both from occurring in v2.0. Our RCVs are rated for 28 Deg and we're at 22 Deg at the Limit Strap now. We think we can get 3-4" More Downtravel in the Front with these changes. With all this said, we can artificially limit it some just in case.

Note these changes will match the 3-4" More Uptravel in the Rear from bending our upper links and raising our Air Bumps. However, the Front will still likely have more travel than the rear, which is less than ideal but it is what it is in light of our 4600 Class Limitations.
