VEX Not a safety Nazi by any means as I take my dirt bike around the block a few times after washing in shorts and flip flops no helmet to dry it off before putting it away (not even the speed limit of 25), but to fully 'get it' without at least a helmet is pretty dumb IMO.

zjrog I am collecting ATV axle parts and suspension for just such a lawnmower toy. Old Craftsman II mower chassis, add in one Chinese 150cc dirtbike engine and above mentioned ATV parts... Cool toy...

The risks involved are very apparent to everyone. A personal CRA (Calculated Risk Assessment) goes a whole long way with keeping a person alive. Nobody got it out of 2nd gear but the dude that owns a performance shop. They all knew what was going on.
Couldnt agree more!

God bless this country.

We had a lawnmower w/blades removed & did a lot of riding & hauling a motorless go-cart and bicycles. Plus it was the era of Evel Knievel & neighborhood kids did lotsa jumping to mimic the Hero.

Back then I would say Little League baseball & skateboarding ended up in emergency rooms for treatment-

ADChevy4x4 For some of us, we have seen and done stuff like the show is about...Golf cars with 400 hp , 150 HP quads and all sorts of stuff... Danger? see it every day in states with no helmet laws for bikes..

These shows are primarily to entertain people who never did or saw that sort of stuff...
