He is asking of his two choices with the D30 which one would be the better choice. From what he has stated I still think the LP30 is the better option.

He isn't REGEARING to 3.73 he has axles with these in them already. Just asking which is the better of 2 D30's to run.

|Beat95YJ||If you are running a d30, the only one worth running is a hp non disconnect. The rest suck. The LP sucks w/33ís and a locker.|

Good luck on the D30. As I said if you aren't building it for Funny Rocks type stuff the LP30 should be okay. I have a empty HP30 sitting here for when I decide to regear my daughters TJ.
Mine is built for rocks and other stuff while hers is a DD and won't see hard trails. Only reason why I would even think about keeping the D35.

You aren't going to wheel it hard then there isn't anything wrong with keeping the LP30. The main reason for going with a HP30 is to keep your driveshaft out of the rocks and for gear strength. What size tire are you planning on running?
Where did you find the D44? I've been looking for one for my daughters TJ but hate paying $1K or more for one. I can build a reliable D35 for that since she won't be going over 33" tires for a long time.

Wich dana 30 should use
I got a dana 44 with 373s to replace my 35 my Tj has 307s
I have acquired 2 dana 30 with 373s
1. Low pinion non disconnect already has all brackets easy to install
2. High pinion has disconnect I will eliminate it install seal, plate solid axel I have to weld on the coil pads shock mounts ext
Is high pinion worth the extra cost ($200) and time or just use the low pinion and call it good
I’m not going to wheel this jeep hard just want it to be a little tough and reliable
