Brad Talking with the guy at the welding shop yesterday and he was telling me how Lincoln has tricks for their machines and wires.
Use lincoln wire on Lincoln machine, runs great on manufacturers setting specs. Different wire in their machine, will run worse and have different settings.
Lincoln wire in others machine, same thing, settings different.
ALSO NR-211 isn’t an industry standard type/specification of wire. It’s Lincoln’s part number for that specific wire. So they essentially cornered the market. Any other manufacturers “NR-211” isn’t really NR-211. Pretty interesting.

As for other useless info
Still not a fan of unions(organization in this case)
Waiting on paperwork for benefits. Kids need to get seen by both pediatrician and dentist for school stuff. I need a ongoing prescription.
Worked the required 500 hours to be eligible but paperwork from my company to union is taking longer than the time it should have because when I got hired I had missed the contribution to the medical by a week. So I “should” have the paperwork by the 20th and I will be covered starting in December.....started July 24th. Had 500 hours mid October.

Trying to get my son more comfortable on his bike(very hesitant to do anything other than flat), training wheels came off a few months ago. Took him to the skatepark to get him used to going up and down bumps and get going faster(only goes as fast as sitting pedaling on flat ground). Skatepark has a pathway around the perimeter with a few tabletop style up 3-4’ then about 8’ of flat and the same 3-4’ down. He ran into a skateboarder doing some flip trick and not landing it. Again, not great on the bike. When he does ride his bike he likes it but It was like pulling teeth to get him to ride without the training wheels. There was a lot of tears and “I don’t want to do this anymore” but he finally did it. He has trouble starting out and won’t stand up to pedal and get going so I got him a box bike with a freewheel so he can just spin it where he needs to to start off.
It’s hard to get him to get out of his comfort zone and actually ride his bike. I want to tell him to quit being such a fucking pussy and just go ride. I’ve told and he knows he’s going to fall down, going to crash/get hurt. Used me doing it when I learned, when I go and learned dirtbiking. It’s frustrating but I feel bad not getting him started sooner. I’ve worked WAY too much in the last 3-4 years and missed out on getting him learning things. If the new bike doesn’t help then I don’t know what I’m going to do, he tried riding on dirt in my friends FLAT backyard and couldn’t get going well and got frustrated/crying really quickly also.

Lease is up on wife’s car in July and we need to get another car(hoping to just buy an older used car. My Truck fits 3 car seats. Don’t want an SUV or van for the other car but kind of out of options.

Need to figure out how to pay for a new furnace. It’s connected to my AC(ac is on top of furnace) so that makes it more complicated/expensive from the little research I’ve done. Furnace got capped off by PG&E last year because it was causing a little CO. I’ve looked for replacement burners for the one I have and they don’t make them anymore since it’s from 1979ish.

billdacat Painted the fucking front patio with some Homeless Depot Bear solid stain... Fucking hate the color! I will live with it for a year or two, and then I will repaint it.

I requested a quote for a new HVAC system from Costco. (Lenox). Current system is a 5 ton fucking pig!!

Lucky for me, a friend is a physicians assistant or something like that in a big hospital in the city. A call to his wife and he hooked me up with some 875mg Amoxicillan.

The worst part is it took me almost an hour to eat a Popeyes spicy chicken sandwich a little bit ago. Its made my jaw muscle hurt so bad I can't open my mouth all the way.
So, are you just going to leave it there until it kills you? Or are you actually going to see a dentist?

Or better yet, are you going to try to fish the rest of it out with pliers?

They weren’t at my desk. They were in the walkway on the other side which is the main walkway in the office. Two females. Their boss is male. I didn’t want to work. I wanted them to realize they’re doing jack shit to be productive and their complaints about work are exactly what they’re creating and encouraging as a work atmosphere. Just to say “we have shit five years over due and we’re blaming the clients. Hey how is that work I put on your desk a year ago coming along? Have you had time to review it?”

billybob_81067 The goddamn hardware stores around here suck ass.

Bought some Van sickle paint from the Big R the next town over about half a year ago when I started planning on painting my service truck. They had a good selection of paint colors and several gallons of each color, reducers, catalyst/hardeners, etc. Everything in one aisle, nicely organized. Cost was a bit more than some other implement paints, but I knew if I needed more i could get the same shit and keep on with the project.

Well come time to paint and I happen to go in there to buy another gallon cause now I'm not only painting the cab and the sides of the box, but also the entire boom, every fucking nook and cranny, and the insides of the boxes too... Well they up and got rid of the entire aisle of implement paint and sent it back to the manufacture. They only have latex paint now. I was fucking pissed. The only reason I chose that paint was because I knew I could get more if I needed it. Fucking idiots.

So I went to the local hardware store and picked up a gallon of their X-O rust paint. Figured I could use that inside the boxes and on the boom and save the Van Sickle for the cab and sides of the box. Haha yeah right that gallon didn't go very damn far painting the insides of the boxes only. Go back to the hardware store and purchase the remaining gallon of gloss white that they have. Use it up, go back in and ask about ordering some more in (this was last weekend) it is supposed to be here tomorrow morning.

Get impatient and go to the true value in a town 20 miles away and buy their two gallons of XO rust paint that they have on their shelves. and continue painting.

Today I opened up that van sickle paint and it is so much thinner than the XO rust that now I'm having reservations about using it on this project at all, not to mention I'm not too keen on mixing and matching paints from different suppliers on this anyhow. I think I'll probably need yet a couple more gallons, so it's either wait another week for it to come in (because they didn't order in any more to stock the shelves only what i ordered), or hope to god the true value in the town 20 miles away actually tries to run a decent hardware store and re-stocked their supply of paint.

Godddammit!

TLDR: Hardware stores around me don't stock shit, and don't re-stock things when they are out of them and it pisses me off. And yes I'm on 4 gallons of paint for painting my truck, and will probably need at least 3 or 4 more gallons before it is all said and done!

So...there will likely be an exodus of personnel over the next few months leading to the closure of the company, a buyout, or everyone will just keep going like nothing happened (doubt it).

Might be time to start my own gig, whatever that is going to be.

Should have saved the money from the audit and paid it to employees
That said, it's sad that todays workers don't really live up to their end of the bargain, I know some do but most don't. For example see the above post.

Mine sits outside year round. I made a 2x4 structure that sits in the boat and holds a trucker tarp over the top of it. No saggy spots to hold water like the old tent pole holder things.

Only ever topped up the oil and gas :-) and it sat outside in the forest year round for all that time. :-) I will put gas in it tomorrow and see if she runs! If so its another 10 year mower. Might even get a fresh plug. But only if it doesn’t start first. I should probably check the air filter as well... Maybe.

Time for some Tequila and a show or 2.

I wish i was more like you. My mower gets new plug, filter, and oil every year, plus I follow the end of season procedure to the dot.

I paid $600 for it brand new and cut 1 acre of grass so that makes me baby it.

The wheels have three years of hard abuse on them and starting to wobble so I need new ones with another MTN Bike tire upgrade. I want something more aggressive than the standard bike tread.
