Cisco Campgrounds

Came down Rattlesnake on Sunday, and the campgrounds was packed full. Also the parking lot on left. Must have been a money maker for them. Saw tow rigs parked below Cisco Chevron in the large parking lot..

chicknman The phone number says they're closed. And you get an auto replay stating they are avaiable for monthly or apartment rentals.

Just like the old days. Full Hydro, max speed, waving at CHP.

erictylers1 Cisco Grove campground is a Ghost Town. Everything blocked off, broken snow sleds and trash in the old parking area, and brand new electrical and water service at each campsite. Every loop is blocked off with boulders, and logs where the old shipping containers were.

erictylers1 I’m at Chevron, and the new owner says that anybody can park a truck and trailer down in the dirt circle, free. They won’t be doing any security, but truckers are in and out of here, 24/7. His English is as strong as his personality, but he understood what I was asking. Headed over to KOA.
06-18-2019 02:24 PM
erictylers1 Headed up tomorrow for work, I will stop in and check both.

dirtyjed I was up there last Friday and saw the barricades. Place was a ghost town.
I've also heard the rumors about them (koa) not being ohv friendly.
06-18-2019 02:01 PM
samy crawler saw on facebook someone went by there last week and there were cement barriers blocking the parking area. She said she heard the new owners are not off-road friendly...

BIGJOEDUCKSLAYER Chevron has always been free for the last two years that is where I parked, once while driving to rattlesnake rd chp waved to me in my sami buggy with red label crawlers and no wind shield. I laughed and turned up music and jammed down rd

Valon5150 So it's check and see situation if the lower lot is open for parking depending on the space they need during renovations? Otherwise park over by chevron.
