Nevada gaming code...great. WHERE DOES IT SAY IT IS ILLEGAL FOR A STATE RESIDENT TO WIN? Your link doesn't answer my question.

Is THIS what you wanted to link? The specific list of people not allowed to gamble? It includes all employees of IGT which makes the machines but the same kind of goes for the Lotto in California last time I checked.

EDIT: Did you mean social studies? I've never heard of "civics class" in my life. The makeup of local governments? again, I'm not sure what this has to do with the founding of Las Vegas, the legality of winning, or anything else you have against Las Vegas, gambling, and being wrong.

Pretty much all of the Comstock money went to San Francisco. San Fran was not built by the Gold Rush which was relatively minor and siphoned out many other ways. Comstock money built California, which is part of the reason Nevada became a State. Then the actual Mafia started a casino on a prop-plane refuelling station, that's Nevada.

Founded by La Cosa Nostra and enforced gambling loses via State Law.

Guess they don't teach Civics there, huh?

Sounds like this is your opinion and nothing based on facts. I guess with this logic California is paid for with gold in the 1800s and Florida survives off Disney. Let us ignore all the silver mining in Nevada prior to Las Vegas becoming a popular tourist location for spending their money.

Gaming; It is not 'statistically (FIFY) difficult to win'. It is statistically IMPOSSIBLE to win. If it were not, there would be no pyramid, skyscraper roller coaster, or Strip.

It is against the Law for gaming patrons to win in the State of Nevada. The businesses promote certain people. In business, this is known as Marketing, a required expense.

It is against the Law for the House not to win in Nevada. Period. Irrefutable.

Staying at a hotel doesn't require gambling. I've been there many times without gambling.
Plenty of business in Las Vegas that has nothing to do with gambling.

Oh and I don't recall any laws in Nevada making it illegal to win money. Statistically being difficult to win, and not legally being allowed to do something are very different.

Las Vegas is Gambling, everythign in it depends on people blowing money down a game they, BY LAW, can't win.
