Stopped on the side of the road today and picked up a Champion 3500W 120V/240V generator for free.
Exhaust valve was out of adjustment, needs a muffler, a voltmeter and a air cleaner.
Started up on ether (cranking it over with a drill), ran on the gas that was in the tank, made enough power to run my 1500W heat gun as a test load.
Now to see if I can find or modify a muffler for cheap...
LZLRUN K+DCAN cable from amazon.
Yeh no desire to go flat bed. Bed is not shot shot yet, but has some soft spots. Time will determine what I do.
I pulled the box off my Ford to fix a cab corner, and concluded that it was time to build a flatdeck. Easier and cheaper and a more robust final product compared to fixing it.
On my cable I had to swap a pin or 2 on the OBD connector to make it work, I did not hear you mention that with the cable you got. have you looked into that?
Once I swapped the pins mine worked perfect.

Yea I know it has awesome capability, I just don't know it yet. Pretty sure the software did not load right somewhere alone the way.
now I can turn off trouble codes
Glow plug controller caught fire and was replaced with a pushbutton? Yeah, computer doesn't know it's gone because I deleted every trouble code associated to the module.

Fixed my tailgate tonight. F350, cup broke off the tailgate side for the hinge. Welded that fucker back on.
Hit it with some primer and slapping it back on. Also realized my under bed supports are worse than I thought, as is the body rust. Good thing I just spent a bunch of money on the truck. Guess I got to keep fixing it now.
Just money right....
CEL came on on the BMW on ride home from work, cool get to play with INPA and the new cable I just got. False/fail/not gonna happen. I am computer stupid apparently. Can not get it to connect.
Plus side of multiple vehicles.... guess I need to drive the Grand Cherokee tomorrow... shucks, heated steering wheel it is.

Dad was Army Air Corp in WWII and stayed in through 3 wars.
So I've lived all over the world, but North Texas has always been home.
I moved back to Texas from California in 1970,(my Senior of High School was in California.) so I am a born and bred Texican!
All my kids are Texans too!
AND TF, you are on the money about those peeps in Austin.

|santa V2.0||Thought I was at the end of my cold. Went to work today about noon the dayquil started to wear off. Cam home about 2 layed on the couch and fell asleep within minutes. Awake now with a pounding g headache and snot running out my nose like a faucet. Ugh.|

Yesterday was a fucking shit day.
I finally dragged my ass out to the shop to finish the motor swap in a cherry 03 Cavalier
Fire it up and it spins way too fast and doesn't start.
Check the compression and Zero on the 2 I checked.
I should have just scrapped it before dumping more money and time into it.
This is the first bad engine I have ever gotten from a junkyard. I guess I was due for one. I called them to see if they would just refund my money if I brought them the car as I do not have it in me to pull it out again, they didn't sound real interested.

I really want to transplant a phazer motor in a exciter chassis. If I could get it up to 65 hp I think it would be perfect. A neighbor of mine is dropping a big power plant in his 80ís exciter. He has his own sled dyno and the motor makes 130hp. The exciter will be a sister to a pair of Polaris centurions that each have over 110hp each.

The Boys were beating me up pretty bad in the twistyís this week. Spent some time today and dialed the old exciter in. Rebuilt the skis out of a bunch of parts they were getting pretty thin. Had to pull motor to get the toe set right. Thinking about loping the muffler off and replacing it with a stinger.
The boys better watch out Iíll be hanging with them next week.

Progress is coming along nicely on the new dump trailer build.
It's 6'-5" x 12' with two 5200 lb axles
6" channel main frame, 4" channel dump bed frame
will have a 10 ga floor and sides
5" x 30" stroke cylinder
I am using old MH axles and have decided (after taking one apart and having the brake lining fall off the shoe) that I will be converting them to 8 on 5.5" bolt pattern. It's more than I wanted to spend but it is what it is.
Axles were free, cylinder and power pack I have 100 bucks into them.
I'm hoping to be into it for around 2K
I'm going to have this piece cut, does it look strong enough as drawn? With the 1/2" around the hole?

Chains are on my list of things to get for this truck.
