Someone in the HOA I work in did something similar a couple years ago. He didn’t get the same air time though. He launched into a garage. Door header sheared off the roof of the Benz, and his scalp. Benz roof and scalp were left in the driveway, he and the car were found in the study

The driver, Braden DeMartin, 22 of Toms River and his passenger, Daniel Foley, 23, of Toms River were heading north on Hooper Avenue toward Brick when DeMartin lost control of the car and hit the center median, continuing north and striking an embankment, according to Toms River police spokeswoman Jillian Messina. That caused the vehicle to go airborne into the building, which it smashed through, leaving a gaping hold.

Both occupants deceased at the scene when first-responders arrived at the building around 6:35 a.m. which houses Exit Elite Realty, Messina said.

Messina did not say who owned the car nor an exact rate of speed the Porsche was traveling.

Skid marks could be seen on the eastbound side of Hooper Avenue heading toward the center median and the building. The car landed upside down with its bumper landing on the front lawn.

Crowds gathered late Sunday morning to watch as firefighters removed bricks from where the red Porsche was lodged to allow a crane to lift it out of the second floor and to the parking lot below.

Toms River Building Inspector John Gerrity deemed the building unsafe.

Robert Brown mourned the loss of his two friends in a Facebook post.

"I can’t believe it another 2 of my childhood friends gone bro I remember when we used to scooter and bike at the incline club and had no problems or worries I never saw this coming bro I might not have been your best friend or anything but I do remember the good times we had as kids Rest In Peace and god bless your families," Brown wrote.

I saw the aftermath of a similar accident back in the eighties, two guys in a Trans Am missed a curve, launch off the guardrail and ended up in a second floor bedroom, thankfully the only fatalities were from the car.

Worked a call like that years ago in Bedford TX.

2 guys playing with a 930 Turbo, hit a curb in a residential neighborhood just after midnight and landed in the baby's room on the second floor.

Fortunately the baby was in mom's bed nursing at the time.

Killed both guys in the car.

Porsche launches into New Jersey building’s second floor leaving 2 dead, police say

Two people were killed in New Jersey early Sunday when a Porsche launched into the air and smashed into the second story of a commercial building, authorities said.

The sports car was traveling at “a high rate of speed” on Hooper Avenue when the driver lost control, hit the center median and smashed through a window on the building’s second floor, Toms River Police spokeswoman Jillian Messina told Fox News via email.

The crash happened around 6:30 a.m., Sgt. Vincent Pedalino told NJ.com. He said the building, which houses a real estate office and several other businesses, was unoccupied at the time.

Skid marks could be seen stretching across four lanes of traffic in the direction of the building, the outlet reported.

The Porsche appeared to bore a gaping hole in the brick building, according to pictures that local news outlets posted online. First responders cordoned off the area as they investigated how the vehicle went airborne.

The names of the victims have not been released pending notification of the families, Messina said. The two confirmed fatalities were believed to be the only occupants of the vehicle.

It was unclear exactly how fast the Porsche was going and what caused the driver to lose control.

Police said more information on the crash would be released at a later time.
