H8DWINGS So what was the difference between Verstappen's recklass driving and Vettel's?

How do you go 1 and 2 at Singapore and NOT think it's due to the changes you've made?

Here's a great read on Ferrari. It's probably funnier if your not a ferrari fanboy.

They have been really bad. I'm not a huge Ferrari F1 fan. I think the pressure they've put on Vettel plus his kids have made him not want to do F1 anymore.

The new rumors circulating that Hambone could go to Ferrari are quite comical.

MattS Now I'm just looking at hundreds of Nico memes.

Its a good thing Ferrari didn't blow it a little more or he would have stolen 3rd from Lec if he got a penalty for the fuel issue.

The F1TV coverage isn't too bad. There's some good coverage before and after the race too that doesn't have to worry about a broadcast schedule.

They don't use the same cars year to year they build new ones. Most of the parts are the same but there will be updates and design changes to some stuff. The power units will be new too, also updated. No reason to use worn out stuff when you can build new shit that hopefully won't break as fast. Unless you're Williams, then you use whatever you've got laying around and hope it makes it to the next race....
That makes more sense. I thought that they re-used the tubs as long as they were not damaged.

The lando radio was funny. But this shit is hilarious. They are really having fun over there at McLaren.

Ferrari fudged the paperwork and declared the wrong amount of fuel that was in the car. The car had the correct amount in it but the numbers on the sheet they gave the FIA were wrong. Big fine and they move on. Not really a big deal.

I love that Sainz had more points than the bottom 6 teams by himself McLaren really stepped it up this year, and I'm liking Lando, he seems like a cool kid. His radio message at the end of the race to his engineer was awesome.

jedijesus2 Ferrari fucking sucks. Can't even get a lap in at the end. That's twice this year.

I'd like to see which parts they actually took. The data will show how much fuel is being burnt, wonder if they could get around that somehow.

Odd they took a non-Ferrari part also, wonder if its just to compare the two or they think both teams are doing something illegal.

congrats on the news btw

I'm of the opinion of giving them very basic regs ie; car's gotta fit in a box, max power, min weight, a control tyre and telling them to go for it. I reckon the innovation would be phenomenal.

H8DWINGS I read another article that said they might be pulling from the coolant to provide a boost which made sense as to why it was cheating.

Pure conjecture here based on my somewhat limited knowledge. The container wouldn't necessarily have to be very big or it could be split into smaller containers (one per injector maybe?) Even an extra thimble full per injector coming out of each corner may be enough to add up to an extra 0.5 sec a lap. In theory it would be reflected by an increase in injector duration at max power (assuming the injectors have a fixed lb/min flow rate) over older maps without a fuel storage system.

It is possible they could continue to pump fuel into a holding container located after the flow meter off throttle and then exceed the max flow at full throttle by drawing the max through the flowmeter PLUS whatever is in the container without actually registering over the max flow.
