|hodgiemoto||Never ran the falkens but been running a set of nittos for a few years now. No balancing needed and these things are damn near indestructible. Would not hesitate if your going to be running these mostly at hammers. They're not very noisy either.|

|pennsylvaniaboy||i will say the sidewall design on the 40" nitto's looks better and more armored then the 37" version. But I LOVE my 40" nittos..|

Ran both. 37" Falkens, and 37" and 40" Nitto Trail Grapplers. I use these on my Jeeps (I have 3).
For an off-road tire, I much prefer the Nitto Trail Grappler to the Falken MT. I also wheel in JV a great deal, and the have never cut a Nitto Sidewall, but have cut a couple of Falkens. I also believe that the Nitto rubber compound and tread design allows for better performance in the rocks.
About the only downfall of the Nittos, is that they are very loud on the pavement compared to the Falkens, and the softer compound will wear faster and can chunk more.

|hurleygo3||Look into the Black label Milestar. Perfect tire for a most trail jeep that sees some road time.|

|isabellaclarke||I've run both, 38" Falken and 40" Nitto. Both were great, The Nitto felt tougher and the Falken had better siping and rode smoother. I did;t balance the Falkens but needed to on the Nitto for around town. Can't go wring with either. Nitto cleaned out better for our east cost mud.|

Falken Wildpeak MT vs Nitto Trail Grappler
Just picked up a well used, nicely built YJ that was a stock class competition rig so it's currently on worn 35" KM2s. I'm thinking of stepping up to a 37. I've had good luck with Falken Wildpeak MTs but they're almost the same price as the Nittos. Most of my trails will be Johnson Valley, Moab, etc. Dry terrain for the most part. No highway use but I may drive it around town to get beer when the weather is nice.
Anyone own both?
I know, stupid noob question and it's not even Tuesday.
