I've been talking PS.

Brandon fuel cooler? I have filters but no cooler. I'm going to change as much as I can to hard line and add a cooler/new filters.
08-01-2012 12:12 PM
MochaMike Braided hose for the HP side from the pump to the box.

I added a small cooler & filter as well.

Do you have a cooler? It helps, plus more volume of fluid to get hot is better as well.

Brandon Do you mean tubing line or hose? I have braided hose with AN fittings but I still think it is restricted, going to swap to aluminum line with AN fittings except for short flex lines.

I think something is getting hot and restricted, I just did a few hot laps and it works great but it stalled out 3 times on the rubicon, just had to wait about 10 minutes like vapor lock.

MochaMike I haven't gad ps pressure line issues, but hearing about them, I replaced mine with fittings & hose. I carry extra hose
for trail spare.

Brandon Behind on the updates but just got back from the 60th Jeepers Jamboree, first time for me and 3rd for my Dad who rode shotgun and his last time was the.. 30th
Wheel bearing went out on my way up, hobbled to Georgetown and replaced it right across the street from the jambo headquarters in front of the auto parts store. The dude with a shop deserves some major kudos, he hooked me up with tools etc and was the coolest cat..

Got that fixed and then my brand new fuel pump started whining badly and really never stopped the entire trip, engine starved and I had to just sit a couple times but I think it has something to do with my return hose, going to run new lines to see what that does.

Got gear oil coming out one side of my semi floater rear D60, can't remember if there is an outer seal or if it is an inner like the front, hope it's not an inner because that's a bitch..

built the "outriggers" but didn't get them on, got all 4 built but will get em on eventually. Trying to find some sort of rubber or bushing that is the same thickness as my body mount bushings before I set the height and weld em on.

hopefully after isn't a picture of a crater where my rig was, probably should just pull the gas tank to be safe. Famous last words..

JERM83 Like the skid plate. Good job.
02-06-2012 12:35 PM
Brandon used some scrap to build a skid plate to cover up the tranny and the two pans. Also picked up a spare axle shaft at the PnP, check out the cool find..

I threw on front waggy 44044's in place of the stockers waggy's and put in a rear add a leaf to bring it back up about 2".

Well, Brandon's build thread isn't the place. For basic newbie stock scout info, head over to Binder Planet.

http://www.binderplanet.com/forums/index.php

If you are closer to DFW, try North Texas Binders: http://www.binderplanet.com/forums/f...play.php?f=105

San Antonio: Hill Country Binders: http://www.binderplanet.com/forums/f...splay.php?f=90

Good luck with your Scout, start your own build thread if you think it's worthy.

1966Scout800 Im just curious why you chose this thread to ask your question . Like said before, go here Binder Planet and look under Roy Ireland I believe, he keeps a whole thread going of ID numbers.

He used to take me coon hunting in it and his family said he would want me to have it. It's been sitting unprotected since 1975 and it's in pretty rough shape. It's all there though and that I'm glad about. First thing I need to know is the year model. Serial # FC 15188. Any help would be greatly appreciated and it would be a God send to find somebody around North Central Texas that might want to earn some $$ by helping me with this project. Thanks in advance. Ray.

Try binderplanet.com before you get flamed...... other than that, post some pictures so we can see what it is.
