Just got back from Texas where we took 5th place. Had a fuel pump go out during the racing, but swapped to the back up, and we were good to go. It was a 94 mile desert race with some rocks thrown in. It was a fun course.

Then I decided to race KOH again this year. Rolled in qualifying, only body damage. Main race, blew out a rear shock right away, but we were still motoring along pretty good. Had the upper C break off right before the lake bed on lap 2 where we had hit 101 mph in practice. That ended our day. They were the stock C's, installed new Reid C's now.
This one is from the main race, was able to drive out of that one.

Built a tire carrier last year so I had room to store stuff in the back. Added a rack above it, and tie downs on the roof. Also installed electric wipers.

Finally got around to putting the air filter into the cab. I also found a guy that can make fiberglass molds. I'm having him make molds of the rear panels.

Little update. Replaced the th350 and doubler with a 4L80 and lomax 205. Full manual 4L80 with pretty much billet everything in it. Triple disc lockup converter too. I used a Northwest Fab figure 8 clocking ring to rotate the tcase up. It ended up only a 1/2" shorter than the th350 203/205. Picture is before I put the lomax in. I also got some new heater PRP racing seats for the long cold drives.

Finally got the seventy9 rear axle in.
Also lengthened the lower links. Mock up.
Then sleeved the 2x2x1/4 with some 2.5x2.5x1/4.
Added a third transmission cooler.
And flexed it out to make sure nothing hits.

Went to Moab for a week. Great time. New wrap on scout. It's great that it's still licensed, and I can drive it on the road.

New sheetmetal on. Going with door skins this time. Now just need to get it painted. Anybody want the one I took the panels off of? Still have the door glass too.

Wow, I hate making my own moly lube with ground up axle parts.
I really want to make it down there, but just not in the cards this year.

Will see if this works. King of the hammers on FB just put up a video of the EMC highlights and you got a decent amount of shots in it.

Rolled at the top of Sledge Hammer. Lost a front axle shaft, I think, on the roll. No spare front. Limped it out of Sledge, then called it. Plus side, did hit 100 mph on the lakebed.
