Wheelbase is stretched 11" forward,

Front Axle is a 1978 F-250 HP Dana 44, with 5.13's, ARB, RCV's, Yukon Chromoly Hubs, all new brakes (rotors&calipers)' inner C's turned and burned for a 10deg caster angle with gussets from ballistic fab. Truss from BTF, used a Toyota Pinion d44 companion flange adapted, axle kept at full width. High steer arms from parts Mike.

Front suspension,

triangulated 4-link; lowers are 2"OD 0.25"wall DOM, uppers are 1.75OD 0.125wall all with FK threaded adapters and Ballistic Fab Joints at frame and Polly at axle.

Bilstein 17" 9100's with PAC Springs

Travel is 5" bump and 11" droop. Bump stops and limit straps keep the shocks 1/2" from max and min.

Rims TrailGear Creeper locks
Tires Maxxis Trepador 37x12.5-17

Brakes: Wilwood 1-1/8 master cylinder with proportioning valve, (no ABS)

Steering is an adapted TrailGear Full hydro.

Thanks...

In your photos, I think I saw some old Paragon Adventure Park Flags???

If so, cool. I haven't been there in a decade, but flag is still hanging on garage wall..

Never been to Paragon. My flags are from Badlands and Silver Lake, the two main places around here that require them.

If you haven't been to Black Mountain check it out. That place will challenge you and that nice rig. Rausch Creek looks fun, never been there.

Badass Xterra. Are you running the 3.3? What did you do for exhaust routing and what pump are using for the full hydro? And pics of the front suspension? Thanks

Funny thing when you work on a project for as long as this one. Ya don't always grab cameras or phones... had a few phones since the beginning

Yes 3.3L, great little engine... had this truck since 2002, few times my mistakes almost killed it but keeps cranking and pulling! Odometer has 170k miles on it but adjusting for the years of larger tires... more like 200k shit I used to commute in it with the ifs...

Exhaust is OEM Routing

It has Nissan federal emission down tubes (no Cali secondary catalytic converters) and the old skool Nismo 3" SS Cat-back

Steering Pump is from Trail-Gear, I used 70% of their kit and fabbed up the rest, lines, pump mount, Filer and res sit in the former battery location, which was moved to the rear cargo area (sealed marine style box with a vent to the outside)

I Run at 10-8 psi

But been told not to run in too cold of weather because the sticky compound turns to rock

Funny thing is, there are two more Silver sas'd 1st gens that come to our runs.

If you feel like traveling south, catch on of our runs next year. There are enough built rigs now that we can usually make a nice side group to run that fun stuff.

Brock from the DC area? We all know him.

Pretty sure he still has his original rolled and tubed X. He sold the other one he had to another club member. We're actually hitting Uwharrie tomorrow and I think the new owner of that X is going to be there.
