I bought one. I'm not super impressed. I think it takes off too much metal at once. It is very limited in what angles you can do using the guides (the whole reason I wanted it was for close to perfect edge angle). It does sharpen blades. As long as the blades FIT in it. It could be a time saver (the other reason I bought it). But I have way too many knives that aren't able to fit in it correctly to get them sharp along the entire edge.
I'm buying a DMT Aligner Pro kit.

I bought one off Amazon in an effort to "recover" a bunch of old knives that are so beat up, gouged, dinged etc. that it would take forever to clean up with my Arkansas stones.

I have to say I am super impressed with the speed. Not so impressed with the belt life. Both the red and purple belts seem to load up and break down fairly quickly. To it's credit, I am working with some OLD iron. It is tough stuff. It certainly puts an edge on them. I will still finish them off with stones and steels.

Totally worth the $55.

It's the only way I will sharpen my Puma knives, which I hold a very high opinion of.

If you have quality blades, that's a great edge ruiner.

I was taught old-school whetstone and steel knife sharpening. I can get almost anything "stupid sharp".

A friend had me try out a Work Sharp for a few weeks to get my opinion being an "old school guy". (He was doing a review for a magazine)

Once I got the hang of it using a couple beater knives, I could get a decent edge on most anything. I may buy one, I'm getting lazy

I like this thing more and more. Watching some YouTube, installing some trigger parts and polishing some factory parts in my new M&P Sheild.
