Straight handle $35 each , Curved handle $35 each. Made from 3/8 AR500 Plate steel.

Straight Hammer head $35 each, Foli tool Either revision $35 each.

Name: Special
Price $35
Details: Designed by a coworker for a friend. Turned out excellent but I forgot to take a picture of the tomahawk before it was sent off.

Name: Zhawk.
Price $50.
Details: Larger then the normal tomahawks. A discount will be offered when order in pairs.

Note on shipping: USPS has a flat rate box for board games (23 11/16" x 11 3/4" x 3") that will fit the long handles on the axes. Current prices for the box is $16.35 so I suggest ordering some targets while your at it. Might has well make use of the empty space in the box.

:::edit:: this post was made before the images you see, please read the entire thread and see the product evolution to a kick ass product

well you are going to get some

That blade design is useless. It serves no point other than being a point and it has no point when the other end is pointed. Use a traditional cutting edge. get rid of the "lightening" hole, it does nothing but weaken the blade, especially in that design.

the handle is too thick, it needs to be a slim light tool, not a bludgeoning device. get rid of the speed hole slot thing and no "finger grooves" because they fit no one with fingers.

Its also too short.

the angle of the back spike is wrong. both the top and bottom curve should follow the natural arc of your swing.

SIMPLE, form follows function, not Gil Hibbon

I had to look up who Gil Hibbon was. Little sure of himself for those prices and style I cant even comment on.

Ill see what I can draw up tomorrow with the suggestions. I'm far from a knive or axe person. Had a request and who am I to say no. Ill use it for something at home just not sure what yet.

I don't think anyone is knocking you for building what the guy wanted, after all cash is cash. Just the last sentence in your post sounds like you're selling it and I don't think anyone here can figure out why. Also, with the name of the post you're giving it a purpose.

Once you get it a bit refined and with purpose mark me down for one. Always in for something new to try.
Like its been said. Longer thinner handle and an actual blade and a good pike on the rear would be good

No where as cool as making your own though. For $19 I am sure that is just a made in chine POS

Shefron

Get your design and setup figured out and I would buy one. Not only would owning a throwing axe be fun for throwing and silent ninja killing but it would make a cool DIY project for a rainy day.

For $20 I got that, a saw and a knife. SOG brand, made by slanty eyes. It was a Woot deal.

I would rather have a DIY throwing hawk from shefron or balz slanty eye woot deal.

I think it's a good idea. For what I'd want it for, I'd design something a little different. I'd be thinking more for survival first, weapon second. So with that in mind I'd rather have a standard hachet blade, a flat hammering surface on the back, with a longer and thinner handle. At the bottom of the handle I'd want it shaped like a flat head screw driver or pry bar. With the handle thin enough, I'd wrap it with 550 cord.

Do some research on how early mountain men and such lived. A nice to portable hand Axe can save your 500$ tactical knife.

I have one of those and it suffers from simmilar things.

Its a little TOO light, but that is caused by its lack of a hefty shaft. The pike on the back of that is the wrong arc (and soft temper) and required re-shaping. The toe is unsupported but I did not cut it down because it makes the blade too small. the handle is slick as fuck and required stippling.
Its an "OK" tomahawk but very limited in use.

some nice designs (although most are forged you could redesign to use the benifits of your material)

Hardcore Hardware makes some very nice form/function ones. Welcome- Hardcore Hardware Australia

RMJ makes some wonderfuly elegant designs but I am not sure if you can achieve that without forging...but who knows

Buddy had one of these, jeep branded. Like all things jeep, it fell apart when used like you'd expect to use it: splitting kindling, showing alder saplings who's boss, etc. the handle broke off just above the grip, then the spike broke off the back.
The head was good for throwing until the spike broke off though.
And for te guy lookin for a hatchet with a hammer on the other side; that's called a roofers hatchet or a shake hammer.
