I send my stuff as well as customer's stuff to Maple Leaf Firearms in Celina, TX. He does excellent work for reasonable prices.

Don't want to hijack, but can you laser etch instead of engraving?

I've never pushed a button on a laser engraver, but I can tell you what I see every time this question comes up. 'Normal' laser engravers can't get anywhere close to the .003" depth required by ATF. It takes a really expensive and powerful industrial machine to make that depth, and very few places that do one off engraving work use those machines.

You mean HERE in OSR, or the other secret OSR?

Ya Jeff is the other person. I may be able to find his contact info if Doc doesn't chime in. I can engrave too, but I don't have an FFL so I couldn't do SBRs unless you're local and you come to me. I can do suppressor tubes though. and other randomness

yes. but like dunno said, it needs to be the right kind. all of my lowers were laser engraved. by this man:
Parts Engraving & Industrial Engraving Services | San Antonio, TX Engraving

Hes got the machine and i watch it roll through every time he does it for me. makes many passes to get to the correct depth. Good price, good guy. id recommend him.

Save yourself the expense and hassle of shipping. Look for a local trophy/awards shop. If they do the award engraving on site, they should have the equipment. Might want to call them first.

I use the Lone Wolf Glock people. They've got a killer laser and they are close to me. I know they offer all kinds of custom engraving on their website.

We kind of do that as I have a monument/ gravestone company and we laser etch photos, scenes, and lettering. The most powerful laser I have access to is a 100 watt. Works good on anodized products or other materials using cermark, but it doesn't "cut" metal, acrylic or wood it will.

What would you charge to engrave a titanium tube anyway?

Anyone know of someone in the Sacramento area that does this. I have a 80% lower that I have already milled out and would like to serialize. Would like something local so I don't have to go through the Hassel of shipping through a FFL as I live in shitty CA.

For engraving a lower, my trust was originated in Florida, but I now live in new mexico. Does the city/ state need to match the trust? Or the place where it's being made where I live now?

The state and city of manufacture will not change, regardless of where you move subsequently.

So...new mexico? Where I currently live? Or Florida where my trust was originated?

Wherever the NFA item is "manufactured" will be the city and state requirement. Your trust name will continue to be the "manufacturer".

No, because the engraving has to be a minimum .003" depth, and laser etching won't achieve that.

Not true. If yoi have a powerful enough laser it can be done. Mine was laser engraved.
