Bear Creek Arsenal???

Any good or junk?
I can't seem to find out much online about them,
I figure a complete 6.5 Grendel for $285-$350 might have some kind of reviews, but they're very limited on reviews,
I'm looking for something different than a 300 BO for my 8 YO son to hunt with.

I came across them just the other day and was wondering too. Was eyeballing the 7.62x39 upper complete for $200, Then I saw the disclaimer at the bottom saying they don't recommend the use of steel casing ammunition in any of their assemblies of firearms.

Put thousands of rounds through it.
Runs flawlessly.

I just ordered a BCA 308 barrel. I’ve been watching how a friend’s has been working and decided to give one a try. Seems strange that the flash hider costs more than the barrel I’m going to put it on.

My grandson & I have run their stuff with no problems (I think I'm even running one of their 9mm barrels in my P80 pistol). He swears by their stuff.

FWIW last Friday they ran an ad for complete AR for $299.99! And today, G'son sent me an ad for their complete upper with bcg for $179.99! For those kinda prices I may have to p/u or build another AR

On Tuesday morning at 8 AM, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement executed a search warrant and took approximately 30 people into custody at the firearms manufacture, Bear Creek Arsenal, located in Sanford, North Carolina.

ICE officials with the help of the local Sheriff's Department gather all the employees of Bear Creek Arsenal into a break room. Officials started checking their IDs and detained anyone who's ID didn't check out. If the person didn't have IDs authorities held them until they could ascertain their identity.

So it's cool now to support a company that hires illegals?

A few months go by and it's just water under the bridge.

yep

does not bother me.
has not held up their shipping.

if you want to boycott places that hire illegals, you would never eat. all the farmers hire them.

what i also heard was that the illegals gave bear creek illegal paperwork. bear creek has not been charged with any crimes.

I tried searching and came up empty handed. From the article I didnt see any arrests/deportation. Apparently there were raided for employees commitng identity theft.

I know illegals steal SSN and such, but figured there would be more to it. Not like some other companies where 100+ were arrested and the company turned a blind eye.

BCA knew what the fuck they were doing.

https://gear-report.com/bear-creek-a...p-factory-tour

This was written before the raid.

Quote:
Made in the USA – sort of
Of the people we saw operating the machines, visually inspecting and assembling parts an unsettlingly high percentage spoke Spanish. We were prohibited from taking any of their pictures or interacting with them at all. It appeared that in their quest to push down prices BCA was using labor that may not qualify as American. Please keep in mind that Gear Report’s Managing Editor for Firearms is a native Spanish speaker from Guatemala. I have nothing against people who immigrate to the US legally, as Josejuan did. But I have a big problem with brands that advertise “Made in the USA”, but use shady labor that appears to be of the not-so-legal variety. This was a few years ago. So, I can’t speak to whether anything has changed since our tour.
*Update: On Feb 5th, 2019 Bear Creek Arsenal was raided by ICE and 30 employees were taken away.

Why? You've already paid for them. If Joe put them together instead of Jose, they might not have been at your price point and you may have never purchased them.

Received it yesterday
Looks good
Barrel was loose, quick trip to lgs and had him check it out,
I have no AR building tools whatsoever to even tighten the barrel.
brought it home, fired it several rounds at 20 yds with no issues at this time.

Only regret was getting the 24 inch barrel instead of getting the 20,
oh well it goes bang and my 10 YO son is already trying to trade me his AR10 for the shiny new one.

I would buy again from BCA

My 308 barrel works great. The finish is great. Hose A and Hose B do decent work.
I ordered the barrel from Primary Arms, and didn’t investigate the labor practices of the manufacturers they deal with. If Troy can hire FBI murderers and people still buy his shit, I doubt BCA will lose much market share over this.
