Used AR grip find

Bought a complete lower that was sorta blinged out, got home with it and found some tactical Terry had left some extra parts in the grip. Looking like he had 2 of every extra spring, obviously not fire control

if your gun goes down when you're shooting paper, you gotta have backups in case the paper decides it doesn't like being shot

Going to start stripping stuff off it to sell, parts I don't really need. Not really into the " BAD " lever

Question

NICE find, although I'd dump the BAD lever too. What other bling was included? Looks like a decent stock.

Mapgul grip, bad lever, UBR stock,Troy ambi mag release, LMT 2 stage trigger, and the always crucial "accuwedge"

The BAD lever is literally the worst aftermarket product for an AR besides the TAC-SAC.

But the spring thing, i think some people think they are going inndawuds with their AR when Hilary comes to rip it from their cold dead hands, so they keep spares onboard just in case. TBF, i play into that fantasy sometimes, hence why i have a locker full of ammo and closet full of canned foods. Regardless, what springs would you *REALLY* need? All of them?

For shtf function, you don't REALLY need the take down springs and detents. Sure is nice, but the gun will still fire fine. That being said, how or why would those ever wear out? The most used springs are part of the FCG and your buffer spring. Try sticking one of those in your grip hole

Don't listen to that guy, he's a hater, and a mall ninja. You need another BAD lever, bad.

20 bucks and it's yours.

Send me Terry's bag of unnecessary springs and such. I'll promote them from "extras" to 1st string.

Because it catches on everything, releasing your mag in in-opportune moments.

Run a couple drills with it. Youll pull that bitch off in no time. Its a solution looking for a problem. Who the fuck cant press a big ass button right next to your finger?

I've never dropped a mag with it, but I've also never run drills. Think I use it more to hold the bolt open without a mag in the gun than as a release. Maybe I should get off my ass and take that carbine course at the range and find out why it sucks.

If your BAD lever is releasing your mag, I think you have it installed wrong...

^^ my thoughts too. Iíve used one before on a comp gun. Sure makes clearing the gun and locking bolt back-while in a barrel much easier

I too am curious how the Battery Assist Device will make your mag fall out. As a lefty I use one when I run my drills and rather like it. Mine allows me to control the BOLT release from either side of the weapon. Maybe mine is defective. I'm sure I will be corrected of my wrong doings.

Obviously he is posturing acting like a big badass on the interwebs and actually has no idea what one does.

I run one of those levers on my favorite AR. It makes mag changes quicker because you can drop a mag and slide the new one in letting your hand move up to the front of the mag well ready to fire. When you feel the mag seat all the way you can hit the lever with your trigger finger and then move on by it right to the trigger and start firing away. They might be tacticool, but I like them.

I did too. I had never heard of it. When googling I ran across this gem:

How much for a hammer and trigger? Need a set. Have everything else. Slipped in a MP22 setup and looks way different.

All that’s in my grips is dope cards. They’re worth more than gun parts to me.
