Ares/ fightlite scr. Who has oneAres?

Thread title fail.... you get the point

So I've never really been into the whole AR thing. Partially because I live in California where they are pretty restricted and secondly they seem bulky for general gun duties. I do however like the fact that there are millions of parts and configurations readily available everywhere. Anyhow after looking into them it seems like it might be the best of both worlds for me.*
I have been wanting a mini 14 and just dumped enough silver to cover buying one but now I'm looking at the scr as a better option.

Thoughts? And does anyone have one they want to sell?

No idea what your talking about and if I had I would have destroyed them already or turned them in to the proper law enforcement

I live in a free state and I'd like one also, check out the Jesse James Califas.
Same style gun but probably a bit more pricey

LOL. Point made. I would walk past 100 mini-14s to get to an AR-15. No contest.

There is absolutely no reason to buy any products that liar puts out. His antics and stupidity with his suppressor were enough to make anyone with sense avoid him and his gun company.

I am not an ar fanboy (mostly the styling I supose) but I get thier advantages. I also have not read much great about the mini 14 but it would probably do what I want. The scr seems like a pretty good compromise

If you want steel and wood then a mini 14 or M14 are your best options. I was not an AR fanboy and started with a M1A (M14 variant). But figured I would get a coyote gun anyways. I started out with a cheap PSA upper and put together a mega lower. I’m still not what I would call an .556 fan boy but damn its a well designed platform, .300 blk is my favorite “light” AR, and the AR-10’s are fucking great. Want to now get a .260 upper for my AR-10.

If you're not really into the AR platform, why pick up a bastardized version of one? The Mini 14 is a great rifle.

I had never heard of Fightlite before this thread.

Excuse it is mega cool tactical....
I like my mini 14 too, but what do I know.
But I also like the AR platform.

You might check out a kel-tec su16
https://www.gunsamerica.com/digest/k...ient-pack-gun/

It's kind of plasticy, but pretty light and I like the folding and bipod feature. I think they are a good all around .223 gun.
I also really want a m6 scout though.
Not sure on current ca legality.
