PSA, How is the QC?

Looking at this upper and build kit https://palmettostatearmory.com/psa-...165449175.html

How are the PSA uppers for the money? Any issues?

It’s a standardized chunk of plastic, aluminum and steel. They work just like every other AR on the market. Between my father, a cousin and myself there are 7 PSA rifles. No problems out of any of them.

I've never had a issue with any of their stuff. I've bought a bunch of "blem" stuff from them and have yet to see a blem on them.

That kit is GTG for $260. Be sure to pick up a brake for it.

A brake? Was thinking more like a linear comp. Saw the STD (simple threaded device) that's a small linear comp, about the same size as the A2 birdcage, yet isn't going to blow my ears apart like the A2

No issues other than a ejector spring in “several” kits. I upgrade all my ejector springs now with the fancy $1 parts.

I built one of those in OD green. Kicks ass and goes bang when I want it to.

I have built a few PSA kits and never had any issues.

I’ve got a couple of those uppers, a few upper and lower parts kits, and a BCG from them. I’ve got no complaints.

One upper and the BCG were “blemished”, and on sale 50% off. I found a couple thin spots in the parkerizing, but they run just fine.

I’ve got two AR’s with PSA upper’s on them, no issues so far. I assembled one lower with their EPT (Enhanced Polished Trigger) kits and it went together with no issues and all the parts were there. I purchased an additional EPT to toss in another lower with a AR Stoner LPK that the trigger was just awful. The EPT is worlds ahead of the AR Stoner trigger but only marginally smoother than the mil spec trigger that came in an Anderson LPK.

I have a both an upper and a lower. They fit together well and run just fine. If you come to the other side of the state you are welcome to come take a look.

Even my PSA AR10 runs flawless.

I've never even had a shipping issue.

I may just be lucky.

I did have trouble assembling a co-workers AR with one of their LPK's . The trigger assembly wasn't to spec somehow so I tossed a another throw away trigger in there and moved on.

I've got a few kits from them and on one of the parts kits the take down pins were too big by a RCH, I just used some extras I had and the rest went together with no issues. Of all the parts I've bought from them that was the only issue. I plan on buying more kits from them in the future.
